I'm going to take a guess that Kakashi still keeps that FTG kunai he got for his Jonin promotion in Kakashi Gaiden with him for good luck or something. That way after Minato is finished talking with Sasuke, he will be able to teleport right to the battlefield and this time help his son finish off Obito.
