I don't think explaining the mechanics of it would be enough. He would still have to train to be able to absorb natural energy. Then, he would have to train to master it perfectly(it seems that he has perfect SM, like naruto).
Besides, even being an edo tensei, how would he "recover" from turning into stone? His body would stilll be there, but he would be "frozen".

This time, I'll have to agree that it was an "asspull". He even mentioned SM as "jiraya's sensei technique" when he saw naruto using it. Then he was fighting juubito but he didn't enter SM. This time, kishi really forgot about the logic he wrote some chapters ago.

Edo Minato has SM and KCM, alive Minato doesn't have either of them because he didn't use them and his body couldn't handle the transforms.

1- Throw a kunai under Madara

2- Enter sage mode(Senjutsu)

3- Teleport with a rasengan already activated all that before Kakashi's kamui actually started warping Obito

since you are using his speed as feats by evidence of the panels from right to left indicating that he activated senjutsu after they activated their jutsu , then you have to continue using that same way and see Kamui attacking Obito before Minato appears via FTG in front of Madara.
