Minato's nick name?

Now we all know Minato is called the yellow flash but i think many if not all believe that he is called that because of FTG well i disagree I think he is know has the yellow flash because of his body flicker jutsu.

you see the trail Naruto leaves behind as he moves looks kind of like a flash, that is why kakashi thought he was Minato. Now we know that when Minato uses FTG he appears Instantly behind you and only afterwards are normal ninja able to react to it. that means that if Minato got his name from FTG it won't make sense because there is no flash when he moves so if that is the case why wasn't Minato just called the Fastest ever? Think about it when he moves with the body flicker he leaves a flicker of his yellow hair also creating the flash Kakashi saw.

Many ninja praised Minato's body flicker in this manga i can't recall all but this one for example

See even Tobirama praised Minato's body flicker.

Side note if Minato was called the yellow flash for FTG why wasn't Tobirama called the White Flash or something after all he was the guy who created the jutsu.

Aside from Obito, Minato is the fastest in the manga due to his Shunshin, not FTG.

8 - Shishu(because of hype Known for his body flicker)

The rest are not speed demons like the ones above Tobirama and Shishu are debatable.

in a way yes but he states that because of the tree it would be impossible for him to use FTG because it would suck his chakra dry and also he can't do much cause he did after all just FTG the whole alliance. however just think about it if minato went running guns blazing he would be useless he would lose his chakra and not save his son.

I think him having KCM was a mistake on Kishi's part but even though he's an Edo, the God Tree was still leaching chakra off Minato and stopped him from using any jutsu.

There is truth in your theory, but I don't think it's because of his body flicker that he got his nickname.

I was always under the impression that he gained his nickname from the battle in the 3rd shinobi war where he threw a ton of kunai where the cloud ninjas were gathering, when his men were being pushed back hard. He spammed his FTG going all over the place and was only seen as a flash to the shinobi he was fighting.
