I think summoning them requires a blood contract on the users face. That might be the marks underneath Jiraya's eyes. Either that or it's a complex summoning that takes time.

The only downside to Ma and Pa is that it takes a long time to summon them. Also, Bunta may be physically strong, but his durability is questionable as he got one shotted by a small ST.

Tbh i feel like people neglect summonings in general apart those orochimaru/jiraiya fights because that their summonings governs their fighting style.

But you have made a few mistakes/misconceptions.

Gamakichi hasn't used a katon, that i am aware of in the manga. Obviously you can upload a scan
Next im in two minds about whether minato can indeed summon Fukasaku & Shima. Reason i say this is because while he has a contract with the frog's his fighting style as you noted is more to do with hiraishin than the kuchiyose something that jiraiya specializes in. So i believe when it comes to frog based techniques Jiraiya not only had the most experience with them, but also the greatest versatility and skill.

It appears for a human to summon fukasaku & Shima, its not only down to signing a contract with them, but also the person has to shade underneath their eyes with blood, which forms a blood contract.

This is what i've been saying all the time. A contract with the toads means a contract with all toads. Try to imagine Jiraiya with FTG plus Uzumaki sealing techs along with his summons. Isn't it OP? Nice thread mate.
