Back on subject Minato was a super beast and to this day i can't believe he beat Tobi WITHOUT knowledge about his abilities, he had to analyze them and counter them in a matter of seconds in order to win.

If Minato was present in this current war he would've wiped out all the Zetsu in one day.

For your information, Tobi himself has not really improved in terms of skill. He still uses the same fighting style he fought the 4th Hokage with. All Tobi has added is more firepower and they aren't even his abilities, more or less stolen abilities. The Rinnegan was Nagato's along with Gedo Mazo (well Tobi claims it was his). The tailed beasts were all captured and aren't his either.

Of course minato would not be able to fight all of them on his own, he would need help. In fact tell me one shinobi that can fight Tobi with 6 tailed beast and the Gedo statue on their own. Because you are unfairly matching them up. If its 1v1 Rinnegan or not minato would still spank him. With the tailed beasts and Gedo minato would need ti summon bunta, ma and pa, probably ken and hiro to have a fighting chance. Add Naruto his side and their team would win.

I dunno if someone had already told you this, but Minato is only deadly thanks to his FTG. Without it, he would be a worthless pain in the ass no matter how strong his arsenal is. Although he ain't really one of the strongest. He can't even match Kurama's strength, so how can you be so sure that Minato is one of the strongest?

Yes, that's a genius argument of yours and it would be exceptionally valid and insightful if not for the little fact that Minato DOES have FTG, so 'what if' arguments are somewhat pointless.

What if Naruto didn't have Kurama?
What if Sasuke didn't have Sharingan?
What if Nagato didn't have Rinnegan?
What if Itachi didn't have Sharingan?

They would all suck more or less, or at least be very much unformidable. Fact of the matter is that they DO have those abilities, which makes them quite awesome, so stop putting down Minato, because of a potential, nonexistant AU.

But let me humour you just for a second: if Minat didn't have FTG, he'd still have Sealing techniques (for which the Uzumaki clan was feared for years and later destroyed) and exceptionally intelligence, quick wit and perception for which he was famed. So to be fair, he would still be quite badass.

I agree with this statement anytime of the day. But of course haters will deny some of it, more especially the toad summoning part & what powers they can aid to enhance Minato's abilities. Theoretically this seems legit since he had contracts with the frogs too, as well as Jiraiya & Naruto. We just didn't witnessed the 4th pushed to his limits as compared to his sensei when he fought Pain, but it doesn't necessarily follows that the frog abilities won't work well with Minato's since his fighting style is different from Jiraiya. One should need to think that even Jiraiya never had the knowledge of Ma & Pa's most powerful Genjutsu, or how it works but it gained him the advantage over Pain during their battle.

true..it does not matter if Tobi has a thousand powerful jutsu..adding rinnegan means subtracting one of Tobi's arsenal..I don't know if they understand this but i'll explain it in layman's term..

If Tobi can use 10 powerful jutsu before he will be exhausted then if rinnegan is equal to 5 powerful jutsu compared to the original, it means that Tobi can only use 5 if he intends to use rinnegan power. Adding rinnegan doesn't increase his chakra pool...

x=original jutsu= 10 jutsu before chakra depletion
y=5 rinnegan abilities before chakra depletion
z=tobi chakra

if before, z=10 then we add 5, it will not equate to z=x+y=15

it will be just z=5 rinnegan abilities or z=10, assuming 5 rinnegan abilities is equal to 10 standard jutsu in terms of chakra consumption..

WHY? Because adding rinnegan does not increase his chakra pool..

whoa,where doing math here?! i hate math, but very good explanation though +rep. your right, rinnegan does not help increase the chakra pool, rather it takes up all the chakra of the user.i mean look at nagato, he is an uzumaki and look at him before he died, he was cripple, asthmatic, anorexic, and can barely move a muscle.the rinnegan can be very chakra consuming for even an uzumaki, so i could only imagine how much chakra it will consume for a regular shinobi. i dont blame tobi for not using it as much to defend himself from naruto and kakashi.

Can anyone tell me what happens to Minato's ftg seal after it is placed on the target, does it just disappear. Been meaning to ask this for a long time, didn't want to make a new thread so I just looked up this one.

After Minato stabbed Tobi and removed Kurama from his control Tobi fled from the scene. However couldn't Minato have pursued him, I mean no matter where Tobi went couldn't Minato have just instantly teleported to him?? Or does the seal disappear once you teleport to the target.

Also how did Tobi even know where Minato was after he FTG'd to escape Tobi's kamui

Since the seal can stay on his kunais or even on Kushina forever i doubt that the marking can disappear that easily
