He did use it effectively every time even though that he needed seals to move around.
He outsmart and outclassed raikage even with the drawback of the seals.
That only proves that he has amazing reflexes and is smart enough to always use his tech. efficiently.
Don't bring FTG in the argument it's only going to work against you.

He got out of those chakra chains damn fast. If you're a hater, trying to play the "If he didn't have this, then this" card, well then why don't we say Naruto's feats without Kyuubi are getting pinned down by metal rods or him and Sasuke without the Sharingan getting beaten up by needles?

Minato still would've defeated Obito, having Hiraishin just made it faster, he hasn't had much screen time, but from what we have seen, his speed and reflexes still surpass most.

This is a troll thread... He's actually shown great base speed, although giving that you want to try and degrade him, i can see why you overlooked it.

You can see in the above scan's that he was able to instantaneously catch Naruto in mid air, with FTG! He was also able to get across the village at incredible paste, when the 9 tails was rampaging across the village, with no FTG marks in sight.

Don't know why Minato troll threads always end in hottest thread though. It's better not to reply to these kind of threads since it's only made because people don't like the fact Minato is stronger than their favourite characters U_U

I never stated that he has fast base speed...

The point is that we've not seen his base speed and tbh anything other than FTG, is essentially his base speed. I was stating the fact that he's asking us to prove his base speed when we can't...due to the fact we've seen him in battle twice.

He used the fact that he never showed great speed against obito, to prove that he didn't have great speed, which again wouldn't be accurate, because anything other than FTG wouldn't be sufficient against Obito, giving that he can pretty much instantaneously in-tangle himself.

Body flicker is listed as a separate technique, which is used by ninjas to cover large or small distances quickly. No matter who utilizes it, I wouldn't count it as a base speed, because it consumes chakra depending upon the covered distance. Less chakra is consumed/used for smaller distances and large for larger ground covered. You or anyone else should count this as base speed at all.

Minato was fast, without a doubt. But so far, we haven't seen any actual feats for his base speed. It's a good thing he is back, as this will give Kishimoto an opportunity to highlight his other jutsus and possibly his base speed. If he only uses FTG in any potential fights, then his come-back is virtually useless for me.

if he went to the war, i think we are gona see new unique ways of using FTG (why would he run faster if he can just teleport there). so i doubt that we will see his base speed (it doesn't really matter or prove anything) but we might actually see a new jutsu.

Some fool... Minato's situations in the manga have always forced him to act quickly. Against A, he had to move as quick as he could. Against Obito, the village was at stake, and saving baby Naruto forced him to use Shunshin. What did you want? For him to let his son get stabbed? All Minato's skirmishes and battles forced him to act quickly, due to his situations. Don't take anything away from him.

Really? Then explain why Naruto is able to do it? Naruto didn't place a seal the first time he used it against Kisame and crushed his throat. Naruto didn't use a seal to perform FTG when he fought Raikage.

This may be true for Minato but not for Naruto.
