Everyone puts him high in their top 10 list, but really, how is he strong? This is not a hate thread, I dont have anything against his character, I just want to discuss his top 10 position.
I mean, I know he got that FTG but thats not an offensive jutsu, in the end his only offense will be rasengan and that simply doesnt damage top 20 shinobi that much..

my top ten list all have abilities capable of beating minato and minato Kunai, and Rasengan won't hurt them. The problem is people automatically assume minato will tag someone but they fail to play out the part where he has to get to that point.

If Minato had a stronger jutsu than Rasengan then he would be higher

My list of people that beat Minato(No order) and how they can beat Minato

In no specific order

Hashirama (Flower tree world)

Madara (Perfect Susanoo, Tsukyomi)

Nagato (Asura, Deva, CT, Naraka)

Itachi (Tsukyomi, Genjutsu, Totsuka, Clone explosions)

Current Obito (Obviously manga chapter 641-643)

Tobirama (Suiton, FTG, Edo Explosion Summons)

Onoki/Muu (Dust, Flying, Earth Manipulation)

SM Kabuto (White rage, Sound 5 abilities)

This would mean that sakura would be top tier as well, which she is def not. Second, nobody needs to counter ftg. Lets say nobody in NV could counter it, it would only mean that people wouldnt be able to damage minato, but minato's only got rasengan, so he wouldnt be able to damage anyone neither

FTG and a simple rasengan was able to hurt Obito using KAMUI! lmfao! tell me somebody that could ever hit obito using kamui.

Since when a kunai or rasengan can't kill and you need overpowered move to kill someone? Infact in most cases, the opponents never die from overpowered moves, but more against kunais(Madara, Hashirama thought a kunai could kill him, Obito got almost killed by Minato's kunai and they are considered top5 or 3 by majority of people). I find it really funny how people think you need fire power to defeat someone. Furthermore, most likely the rasen chourinbu kousanshiki is stronger than rasengan judging by the fact Minato thought he could kill Jubito with it, although it still has yet to be seen

1) madara/obito didnt get killed by kunais
2) I dont think its funny. A rasengan or kunai wouldnt harm a susano'o user, or wouldnt go through gaara's sand layer (at least not enough to kill). It would also not be enough against rinnegan users since they have broad vision and ashura enables you tu grow limbs in an instant, which could simply block rasengan, not to mention shinra tensei etc etc

'hurt' is far from kill. FTG is a good counter against kamui but that doesnt make minato strong, it only makes obito touchable to minato and then the only thing minato can touch him with is rasengan, which didnt do anything near killing obito at the age of 15....

1- Madara got killed by Hashirama's sword, so it's almost the same thing
2- Obito got pierced through by Kakashi's enhanced kunai and was on the verge of death
3- Minato just cut Obito in half with a kunai with a great amount of blood covering the area. Everyone thought he was dead atm and only survived thanks to will power
4- Who can break Susanoo in the first place? The number of people capable of such a feat is limited. But not because you can't break Susanoo, you can't defeat a Susanoo user. Neither Kabuto nor Danzo have shown to be breaking through Susanoo, yet the latter almost killed Sasuke when the former was dealing with 2 Susanoo users. Minato doesn't need to break Susanoo to defeat a Susanoo user. FTG makes up for it. The warping ability of the jutsu almost make Susanoo's chakra covering Susanoo users useless when applied perfectly in battle. In terms of fire power he may be lacking, but fire power is not the only way to defeat a Susanoo user. Defeating Gaara would even be easier for him
5- Rasengan is underrated, in particularly Minato's. Minato's rasengan completely leveled the land where he was fighting Obito 16years ago. The level of destruction was even above some overpowered moves. It's the highest chakra manipulation and Minato's seems more dangerous. And like i've said, most likely rasengan isn't even his strongest move

You forgot to add with KCM mode he is top 5. Without it top 10.
