With the revelation that Hashirama is capable of using Sage mode, people are speculating as to what species he has an affinity for (if any).

I know that slug thing hasn't been concerned, and I highly doubt it's true, but it does brink up some interesting ideas. Different characters, and their "sage animal".

Minato gets dodo bird. (They were fast, right?)
Madara gets grizzly bear. (A terrifying monster that people try their best to not be around)
Darui gets panther (obviously)

Any more?

Well, I posted this once in another thread, concerning the possible summons for Hashirama and Tobirama.

There is a deity in Japanese mythology that rules over seas, called O-wata-tsumi. It takes shape of a dragon, like this one:

Something like this I think would be a good addition to Tobirama's badassery level.

Kyuubi was kinda Madara's summon.

Minato is already associated with toads.
