Is he? I always thought FTG was like matter teleportation. As in, the body is broken down, teleported, and then put back together again.

that would mean every time he did it he would die and an identical Minato would be created somewhere else, its why the idea of destroying your mass and rebuilding it somwhere else is stupid

he wouldnt be doing it because his thoughts and mind would die everytime he did it, even though an identical replica with the same thoughts and mind would reappear the conciousness would no longer be the same and the one who teleported in that way would technically no longer exist

if you are able to bend the dimensions (which in a manga ofc you can do) you have countless possibilities in theory you could go far beyond what Minato is doing

thats why FTG is my fav tech (other ST techs too), but I doubt it Kishi knows enough physics

a lot could be said on the subject but seeing how it usually takes years and a lot of material to go through and high mathematics to understand it theres really no point

so i was just wondering everytime minato used ftg, he never ages cause hes going faster then light .

so lets say he used ftg since he was 16 and he died when he was 24 that means if

he used it everyday more then 100 times per day that would mean hes actually died at the age of 18-19 years old.

yes yes.He shaved a couple of minutes off his age. He will die a couple of minutes later......Ohh wait he killed himself.

well his ftg jutsu is so fast he returns into the real world in seconds so he would still be at his rightful age pretty much.

doesnt matter you dont age while you teleport or travel faster then light while everybody does

The problem here is that Minato's total time spent at light speed (if that's the case) wouldn't even amount to a minute since each usage of Hiraishin only takes 0.000000001 seconds, for instance. Basically, the distance divided by 299,792,458 meters per second. The net time dialation wouldn't even 'stop' Minato's aging by a minute.

It would not change the fact that Minato's day is composed of 24 hours..Lol

I see. Yes, that makes sense. Matter teleportation would only be practical for inanimate objects. Duh, that was obvious, should have thought of it.

Anyway, yeah, the mathematics required would probably go over my head. And I don't think I'll ever pursue mathematics (or physics) to the level needed to actually be able to understand the concept without having someone dumb it down for me.

Except time would be perceived slower for Minato than for everybody else. Time is relative, not absolute.

A person living in the Himalayas experiences time slower than someone living at sea level. It's just so small that the difference is negligible (something like a second per 60 years).

It's like arguing that the best way to lose weight is to not move, because that lowers your mass. The faster you move, the more you weigh. No, because the difference is miniscule.

You're getting the concept of time dilation a little wrong.

Time Dilation is when Time is theoretically "slowed down" because of hypersonic (Theoretical FTL) speeds that alter the Space time continuum. So for example; lets say an Astronaut is going the speed of light and he was traveling to Mars which would take 1 week Earth time. For the Astronaut the effect on his body would be the equivalent of more like 1 day Earth time because of the effects of Time Dilation.

So in theory, Minato would have to use thousands upon thousands of FTG's to dilate time for himself, and this would only be possibly in Edo form because he wouldn't have the chakra while alive.
