You were incorrect in saying there is not a large difference in their speeds. Indeed, Itachi blitzed Bee but since when was Bee in the same tier as Minato interms of speed? There are two instances in this manga where we've seen Minato produce outrageous shunshin feats; catching Naruto and travelling to the wall while Tobi's arm remained in the air, and shunshin-ing across Konoha towards the Kyuubi. This is only taking into account Minato's body flicker technique. Itachi is no where near Hiraishin's almost instant teleportation.

He can trap him in genjutsu. Minato has never been shown escaping Tsukuyomi.
