IDk why ppl say itachi could have beat Minato. Im a big itachi fan but i realize he wuld have lost. Itachi was about 8 years old wen minato died and no matter what u say itachi wuld have died in that fight.

And well minato was still young and therefore not in his prime so he wuld of gotten even stronger than what we know. He had massive chakra, split second reaction and high intellegence. He took on tobi and the 9tails theres no way itachi culd have caught up.


Itachi prime is 23 or sumthing and by the that time minato in prime wuld own itachi. Only way itachi culd have a chance is a genjutsu , or working on stamina.

They're playing in the same league for sure but I don't see Minato countering all of Itachis Genjutsus and he has a bunch of them. Tsukuyomi, illusions or paralysis can be cast at any time in the battle and often without the opponent is even noticing it.

Minato was like 22 when he died. And of course, people compare them when they both were at their peak (even if Minato never did reach it). So 8 year old Itachi vs Minato cannot stand.

Well when most people say itachi v.s. minato they usually mean prime itachi v.s. prime minato and ignore the time discrepancy.

But if your going by the actual timeline then of course prime (time of death) minato > 8 year old itachi.


And you bring up a good point... who knows what minato would have learnt in those 15 years. Yea he probably would have only gotten strong. and since prime minato and prime itachi are so close anyway. I guess i would have to agree with you.

Death time minato + 15 years is probably > death time itachi.

But one things for sure, even then it wouldn't be no problem.
