Not becuse he's strong but every master will hype his

Minato is the only one - as far as Oro knows - who witnessed the Kyuubi attack - fully. He is the one that knows who the masked man is and what his motives were ( or at least, that's what Oro thinks ).

Also, he's powerful, Kishi did us a fan service and he probably wanted to show us more of the Kages. Do you think he doesn't read fan reception? We complain about the lack of Hokage feats all the time. He probably wanted to show how much of a beast these people are.

This argument is a telltale sign of a troll. Name any other person that could have taken on that 14 year old. The list would be quite short. IMO (and manga seems to back this up) only S/T jutsu, or a pretty darn long explosion can be used to combat Obito. This would indicate that only Tobirama, Minato, Konan, and Deidara would be able to take him on. Now throw in the fact that Minato had to worry about Kurama and protecting is family/village at the same time, I'd say he handled it like a boss.

Ok first to answer your original question (from which you clearly went off topic) Minato was summoned because he took part in the incident with the 9 tailed fox attacking Konoha, which was pretty much the thing that led to the massacre of the uchiha. He battled Tobi who he believed to be Madara, and all the details of that fight are known only to him, he died before he had the chance to tell the Third.
Another reason would be that he had half of the nine tails chakra sealed within which was now released (supposedly). I know this doesn't help Sasuke or Oro but it fits the story.
And finally he was a very cool character from which we didn't get the chance to see that much, i sure hope he meets with Naruto and we get to see him fight again.

Now about Minato failing in comparison with the other Hokage, yes i agree that he might seem weak compared only to Hashirama, who by the way is still one of the strongest ninjas out there and it is really hard to compare anyone with him. Besides Hashirama i think Minato easely stands his ground against the other Hokage. And for a regular ninja (no kkg, no special techniques, just some seals he was taught and his brains) i consider him to be one of the strongest. ninja out there.

Finally stay on topic, you asked here why was Minato revived, other discussion regarding his strength, or comparing him to other characters is considered to be off topic and will be reported as spam.
