Naruto 3:16

For Minato so loved the Leat Village
that he gave his only begotten son
that whosoever believeth in Naruto
Shall not perish but have everlasting life

Minato is the God of Naruto. Geez a guy gives his life and uses his son to save the village from an emo 16 year old freak with one eye and his pet fox and you want to wank on him? Perish heathen

They were the most important students for him, I don't even know if he had others...
But not regretting for once your mistake as a Sensei is just too much.
How do YOU know he didn't feel regret when it happened. With your logic, Naruto just wants everyone to think his dream is to be hokage when in reality he wants to take over the ichiraku ramen business or however its pronounced. :p

I will throw my ever so ignored previous post at you.

Correct! Rin was a Chunin at the time of the Kannabi Bridge mission.
In the series we have seen the Konoha 11 as Chunin, and their senseis don't linger around them like they once did.
In any case in a way he did fail but it's not like he could just neglect his missions.

what do you mean failed to protect his students? he cant be everywhere at once. obito did not say minato failed. in fact i dont think he ever held a grudge against any of the people responsible for rin because "its useless to blame this stupid reality".
how do you know? he did seem saddened by it but understands war has its casualties.
what, that one out of the many hundreds of uchihas in the village died in a war? how shocking. how relevant
said 16 year old was possibly the most powerful ninja on the planet. as you said he controlled kurama. just minatos good luck he didnt have to fight both at once
he did all he possibly could. he couldnt help the fact it required his life to save the village
And why he didn't even say anything about his students? Does that means they are nothing to him?
Is his son all important for him? Seriously, not a single thought if Kakashi is still alive or something?
Can you explain it?
It seems he wasn't even ready for Sensei not just Hokage as Orochimaru mentioned.

Did you not read it by now?
I'm sure the series about Minato will shed some more light on the whole thing anyway.

Like I said before, Kishi just didn't show it because he thought it would be obvious. He already showed the third and orochimaru's fight and how sad the third was, because of this he didn't need to show minato crying over them because it was to be expected minato would feel bad. Just like not everything is seen in black and white, there also might be a hidden message in between the lines.

Another thing, he might not be showing minato's "pain" because Kishi is saving it for when and if minato, kakashi, and obito meet. He might explain everything at that point in time. That's my theory at least.

you know Obito is also my favourite char. but I'm totally not a fanboy,so no.He didn't fail. They were participating in war so its usual they can die anytime. They themselves were prepared for that. Also Did Obito said he was a failure?

Minato hater?????????????????
Anyway, what is your definition of failure?
Where you expecting Minato to be carrying his students around during a war time in which he had some other dangerous missions in his hands?
Did I hear you say he failed at killing a kid? A guy that can vanish like he was never even there before? Last time I watched that fight, Tobi ran away for his life or where you expecting Minato to leave the village that was been destroyed and pursue Tobi?
MInato created and set the landmark for Naruto in a positive way...Unlike Itachi was created Evil Sasuke....
Minato is the saviour and doesnt have mistakes, his regrets are even invalid.
Itachi was a hero who made mistakes and later corrected them.
