Either way it does not mean he has surpassed minato completely, he's nowhere near as good at the flashstep as minato, and while naruto can't hit minato, minato has all the time he needs to devise a plan and naruto is nowhere near the intellectual level of Minato, also It's known that minato studied a lot of the Uzumaki's sealing techniques some of which are bound to be trouble for naruto, I mean Orochimaru placed a five pronged seal on his 8 pronged one and Naruto passed out for hours, and when he awoke he could not access Kyuubi's chakra and couldn't focus his own properly either, It's safe to say Minato is more skilled in sealing techs than orochimaru and If minato has an oppurtunity (which is probable) to place a seal similar on naruto he's done for as it means no KM and No SM since he would not be able to focus his chakra properly, and naruto knows no sealing techniques or seal removal techniques to undo the damage

Naruto is alot different from when he fought orochimaru, stop comparing the way he was then with his current level. He was merely naruto when he fought orochimaru lol but his alot different and more intelligent now.

One point that people are missing is that minato use the death demon seal against kyuubi because he want to seal it half chakra into his son (naruto) for future purpose cos he knew that tobi will be back someday, is not that he cant defeat the kyuubi without the demon seal. He plan everything, that's why he seal kushina chakra and his chakra too. Minato is very intelligent and battle wise than naruto but I believe with SM + KM, naruto will draw, I am not sure if he will win or not. But I know with time he will surpass minato completely.

But Minato is said to be far better at using this speed than naruto is, so naruto isn't faster or more skillfull in that department, Then While Naruto has far more brute power and more variations of the Rasegan, that is useless if he can't Hit his target, in the even that Naruto does catch him somehow, Minato always has FTG which will take him out of danger, without wasting any of his chakra, while Naruto's defenses are much higher in KM that doesn't make him invincible, that would be absurd, also it is shown that even Orochimaru knows how to reinforce the Kyuubi's seal and it is well known that Minato is better at sealing jutsu than orochimaru so minato could easily come up with a seal just as effective or even more-so than Orochimaru's, lastly because Orochimaru used a odd numbered seal placed over an even numbered, it not only sealed off the ninetails' chakra, but it stopped Naruto from utilizing his own properly so when minato does the same to naruto that would also stop him from entering sage mode, so it would be base naruto vs Minato and Minato would dominate easily, with his utter overwhelming speed, FTG tech and Rasengan's Naruto is going to get owned within mere moments

Or he could just undo the seal containing the 9-tails inside of Naruto, but I like placing seals to mess up Naruto's ability to gather chakra better, because it means Naruto wouldn't be able to use SM either.

Naruto in SM can give minato a lot of trouble but would lose but with KM he can beat minato with mid difficulty.
