Honestly if Jiraiya has a barrier that detects things like that than I highly doubt Minato, who was more a sealing formula master than Jiraiya way, would not be able to. Especially considering that Jiraiya was Minato's teacher and all...
Minato still has a sensing ability in which the fundamentals of are not known, but I'll rule that out since Muu has hype for his invisibility. However Minato is extremely intelligence - if he sees that Muu can turn invisible he'll quickly think of ways to counter it. For example, Minato could throw an FTG at Muu while he prepares his Jinton. From there, Muu wouldn't expect Minato to suddenly teleport to the kunai and hit him. If Minato's hit misses him somehow due to sensing, he's just as likely to tag him and keep Muu guessing.

Minato never was said to use Barrier jutsu...T/S Barrier is a T/S Jutsu

And how can he FTG what he cant see? for all he knows, Muu can just fly into the sky and de-materialize the entire area

Ha ha! Would a great epic match this would be! Muu would be all like...

Muu: I heard you beat the Fourth Raikage and Killer B. Lets see how you fare against me. Against...*fades away*....the invisible shinobi.

Ah my bad I understood the jutsu wrong.

We don't know if Jinton is invisible along with it. Both sides are speculation at this point really. We know that it makes Muu invisible... but does it include what jutsu he's forming?

So Kakashi is able to fight an invisible man when he only has 13years old, but Minato can't? Then i really wonder why the village of rocks feared him that much that they even ordered to all ninjas in a war to flee away when they see someone even looking at him a little bit, lol. If an invisible man is all what is needed to beat Minato, they could have send this man to kill him.

Minato is a high sensory shinobi, he detect any presence just by putting his hands on the floor. Muu can be invisible physically, but his presence will not.
And I think even on air and invisible, once he starts with his jinton, for sure Minato can sense the building of chakra and intantly spot his location.

Just my opinion though...

Muu has to materialise to use jinton.
he can eliminate his chakra and be invisible, he can fly and be invisible, but he can't fly and mask his chakra, he can't mask his chakra and attack, and he can't be invisible and attack.

btw, minato does have barrier techniques lola. one strong enough to keep the kyuubi in and hiruzen out.

anyway, it could go either way. Muu is a bad match for everybody. I doubt he can sneak attack Minato, but his technique is very strong. Minato will have to keep teleporting constantly and use ftg level 2, he needs to hit Muu in the first try.
