Minato vs Kyuubi - Hiruzen vs Tobi

My question is what would have happened if during the Nine tails attack on the hidden leaf, it was Minato who was helping the village tame the nine tails while Hiruzen was fighting Tobi?

I've always wondered about this but can never really predict an outcome. How would have Minato dealt with the Nine tails; how would have Hiruzen countered Tobi's time/space ninjutsu.

I want your views on this topic, thought it might be interesting.

Well, let's just say Minato was extremely fortunate to be able to use S/T ninjutsu, because Tobi is a dangerous opponent for those without it. In saying that, Emna seemed to be pretty good a pushing the Kyuubi out of the village. So if the roles were reversed....I don't really know tbh.

So no one can think of what would have happened, well what I think could have possibly happened is this.

Minato and the other village members/anbu would have handled the 9 tails. I'm sure they would be able to conjure up some kind of seal to restrain him. Actually knowing Minato he would've immediately transported the Nine tails away from the village. Worst comes to worse and Minato isn't to tame the fox then he'd have to use the Reaper of death seal and end up dying. However I doubt that would happen seeing as though this time he wouldn't have to watch over Naruto or Kushina. So I think he would have used some sort of seal to temporarily bind the Nine tails before finding a new host or transport it far away and leave it there in the mean time. As long as Minato plants a seal on the fox he can easily locate it anytime.

Now for Hiruzen and Tobi, in all honesty I think Hiruzen would've died just because of the poor match up. I don't know how Hiruzen would counter the space/time ninjutsu Tobi had. None of Hiruzen's jutsu would touch Tobi either and I can't think of anything up Hirzen's sleeve that would allow for him to touch/hurt Tobi. In the end I think Tobi would just absorb Hiruzen and keep him in his space pocket world under a genjutsu and then kill him.

Then I think Tobi would go after Minato after that and we all know how that would end up so overall I think the village would have suffered less casualties but the death of the 3rd Hokage instead. Unless Minato was able to deal with the 9 tails in time to help Hiruzen.

Minato can drive out the kyuubi or teleport it which would be way more effective. This scenario would've changed the whole plot of the story

I dont think it would have changed the plot completely, Minato would most likely have ended up sealing the nine tails in naruto anyway but the Akatsuki would have still been formed and Tobi's plans would've remained the same.

Meaning the Akatsuki would have still been after all the other tailed beast hosts including Naruto. I still think there would've been war. Also consider that Orochimaru would have most likely defected from from the leaf too.

The biggest difference I can think of is that maybe the Uchiha may not have been killed, I don't see Minato as the type to allow for the massacre of the entire clan.

I think he just would have resealed it back into his wife after everything was safe. He would've had more chakra to use considering he didn't have to use too much fighting tobi and then coming back to deal with the nine tails... Well actually since Hiruzen's attempt would've been completely futile he would still probably have to go back and deal with tobi. Hiruzen is useless in this situation either way

But how do you think Hiruzen would have beaten Tobi though? I don't think he possibly could to be honest.

And how would Hiruzen have managed to touch Tobi and avoid getting sucked in by his space/time jutsu?
