Standing before an adversary of unknown origins, Minato's face becomes serious. This man wore the trademark cloak, black in color and donning red clouds on it. The Akatsuki. Not only has Jiraiya told Minato about them, he also warned him that the men and women of the Akatsuki were extremely dangerous. They were the elite, gathered in order to bring about chaos and destruction. They were taking down villages, one by one. Their motives, unknown at this point. All Minato knew, was that this man came to Konoha for a reason. He was going to take him down, he had to protect his village. At any cost, even his life. With a simple gesture, Minato placed the Seal of the Flying Thunder God on himself, his left thigh to be precise. No indication occurred and it would happen extremely fast. A precaution.
"You're from the Akatsuki, judging by your attire and your menacing presence... What are your motives?"
Minato then formed a single hand seal, in order to cause it to rain. This rain was not normal rain though, it was infused with Minato's chakra, allowing him to sense where the rain drops fall. This would of course, tell him where his opponent is. With another hand seal, Minato would cause a jet of water to come into existence through the focus of Water based chakra. This jet of water, is capable of slicing through solid rock and would harm the man easily, should it hit.
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: Minato uses this technique to apply the sealing formula to any desired object through physical contact and allowing him to teleport to that desired location through the Flying thunder God Technique.
Note: Can only be used by Minato bios.
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a fast jet of water running through the ground that is powerful enough to slice through solid rock.
Kakuzu stood there motionless and allowed a moment of suspenseful silence to pass before answering Minato's question. Unlike his opponent, he knew all about the man standing before him. Minato Namikaze. The Fourth Hokage. The Yellow Flash. Its said that he earned his namesake because he could travel incredible distances in the blink of an eye. Most would awe at such a feat but he had already seen and deciphered the mechanics of Tobirama's space-time travel techniques long before his opponent was even born.
There would be no point in mentioning my name. Unlike you, my reputation does not precede me. Only a select few have seen what I'm capable of and lived to tell the tale. If you simply wish to know by who's hand you will perish, my name is Kakuzu. Godaime Mizukage, Treasurer of Akatsuki and the Earth Grudge Monster of Takigakure.
The instant his opponent forms a handseal, Kakuzu braces himself for the technique to come. An abrupt rainfall begins moments later and he immediately discerns this liquid precipitation was man-made rather than one of natural origins. It was sunny when he first arrived on the battlefield and not a single cloud stained the cerulean sky by its presence. The falling rain appeared to be identical to normal droplets of water in composition so this eliminated the possibility of sticky, oily or acidic rain. This means three likely probabilities remained. The rain was devoid of chakra and was only created as a source for suiton and/or ameton techniques, the rain could sense chakra-based entities on contact or it could be a type of chakra draining rain. Not feeling his strength nor vitality depleted, Kakuzu further narrowed it to the former two options. Not having any way of discerning if the rain could sense chakra, he decided to employ a cautionary measure. Focusing suiton chakra into his hands and slamming them upon the ground, he generates an intricate pattern of luminescent blue seals on the ground. The seals leech their creator's chakra periodically and then utilize it to secrete a thick mist capable of sensing chakra it comes into contact with. If the falling rain was once capable of detecting chakra such was no longer the case. The mist soon becomes an ubiquitous presence on the battlefield (long-range in every direction) and systemically negates the use of Minato's chakra sensing rain.
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 40 ( +10 per turn )
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will focus chakra into his hands, and then slam them into the ground, creating an intricate pattern of glowing blue seals on the ground. The seals possess the ability to leech the user's chakra and then use it to produce a mist thicker than normal ones created by man-made techniques. The mist is continually produced at high rates, meaning blowing it away will not result in the area being cleared of mist, it will just lighten it slightly. The mist since it has the user's chakra, the user will be able to sense where the opponent is.
* Can be used only once per battle
* Leeches user's chakra 10 per turn
* User cannot use Forbidden Rank techniques while it is active of any element.
* Neither user nor opponent can see or sense each other ( via methods other than the creation of this mist ) - even usages of other Chakra Sensing abilities will be distorted because of the chakra present in the mist itself.
Through considerable concentration on his newly acquired "sixth sense", the masked man paints a vivid picture in his mind of his opponent's location relative to his own. The second the fast jet of running water materializes into existence and begins cutting its path towards him Kakuzu forms two handseals and imbues the entirety of the pre-existing mist with a unique chakra sapping quality. Techniques of a specific type and beneath a certain power threshold utilized by anyone other than Kakuzu will be absorbed in their entirety. The same remains true of the jet of water and in no time at all it finds itself devoid chakra, unable to retain its form or movement and rendered completely harmless.
(Suiton: Kyuuketsuki Gesuidou) - Water Release: Vampiric Drain
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary/Defensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30 (-10 chakra per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will perform two handseals before focusing their chakra into a technique produced mist in order to grant it a unique chakra sapping quality. This technique takes a unique twist on a low-level Kirigakure technique (Water Release Secret Technique: Mist Rain) which drains chakra from the opponent's techniques for the sole purpose of weakening them by a small degree. In contrast, this technique allows the mist to absorb all of the chakra in the opponent's techniques for various purposes. Techniques which seek to locate the user through chakra sensing means (e.g. Rain Tiger at Will or Gaara's sensory sand) will prove to be futile as the substance being used will become devoid of chakra and will no longer be linked to the creator's senses. However, this will not affect ordinary chakra sensing (chakra sensing via the user's own body). Constructs and objects will simply simply dissipate and fall to the floor with nothing retaining their form or structure. The chakra sapping mist will only work on techniques B-Rank and below (A-Rank and below for Fire and other elements weak to Suiton ; C-Rank and below for non-earthen elements strong to Suiton). Furthermore, this technique will only work on non-solid techniques and certain solid techniques, so Earthen materials strong to water are immune to this jutsu's effects.
Note: Can only be used three times per battle
Note: Can only be used by Kirigakure Shinobi
Note: Chakra draining effects will only work on techniques, not on living creatures.
After forming the jet of water, Minato could not sense Kakuzu anymore as a thick mist had encompassed the entirety of the battlefield. Having a knack for analyzing techniques, Minato notices how he was now quite vulnerable. Another thing Minato notices is that this mist, is unlike the one he knows. It isn't man made, nor the usual mist technique, as it far thicker and has the property of rendering sensing through rain, or perhaps something else, useless. This should be the thing that took away his sensing with the rain technique.
Without even wasting a second, Minato would use his specialty of summoning the Box Jellyfish. With a single hand seal, Minato would summon forth Maman Brigitte. She comes forth, with her own thick mist, which easily blends with the already present mist on the battlefield. This thick mist of Maman also has the quality of throwing of sensing, much like the mist Kakuzu used, or so Minato had deduced. Kakuzu would then hear the perverted voice of Maman mocking him, see various images of black roosters, dead spirits and have a burning taste and smell of rum and red peppers in his mouth. All flooding his mind. An intricate Genjutsu, combined with the mist of Maman, all in one powerful cocktail.
What makes this Genjutsu quite special, is its ability to constantly shift its chakra signal, adapting to that of the opponents' chakra signal. This makes it impossible for Kakuzu to break the Genjutsu. Using this to his advantage, and with Maman still in front of him, Minato would slap an FTG tag on her and say;
"Find him, Maman."
Maman then makes her way through the mist, whilst Kakuzu is still stuck in the Genjutsu. When she gets close to him, she signals Minato by saying:
"There you are."
This would blend with the Genjutsu, where she is already speaking, and alert Minato that Maman had indeed found the masked menace. In this moment, Maman strikes forward with her tentacles wrapping around Kakuzu, causing severe pain and contains a mixture of hemolytic and neuro-toxins. These would burn and melt his skin on contact.
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Point: N/A
Description: The user preforms one handseal, summoning Maman Brigitte. She comes forth covering a great portion of the battlefield with a thick mist, throwing off chakra sensing techniques. The mist carries a strong genjutsu, A rank in strength, as it is filled with Maman's chakra, making the opponent hear obscenities coming from a female voice, without being able to detect it's origin. Anyone trapped within the mist is flooded with images of black roosters, dead spirits and a burning taste and smell of rum and red peppers, all rounded and perverted by Maman's voice as if mocking them and the ones they lost. Maman herself is a great box jellyfish the size of a human, light enough to swim through the mist, taking advantage of the confusion of her opponent to strike him from behind. This takes the concept of a living Genjutsu, of a mist, a summon and, genjutsu mixing together. The genjutsu constantly shifts it's chakra signal, making it so that it adapts to any shifts in the opponent's chakra flow, making this a constant genjutsu even if the opponent is able to constantly shift his chakra or body, as long as the opponent is in the mist, mid range from Maman
*The thick mist can't be broken or pushed away by anything lower than one rank bellow it's rank, the mist being A Rank. This is because of the consistency of the mist, battling against the power of the wind/scattering agent*
*The mist Mid-range from Maman throws off Natural Chakra gathering, preventing Sage Mode Users from gathering enough to break the Genjutsu. This has to do with the organic properties of the mist being so tightly woven with the animal's own sustenance and habitat, which throws off and severs the connection of the targets with the battlefield.*
*Can only be used once*
*Lasts 4 turns*
*The genjutsu strikes mid-range from Maman Brigitte, despite the mist covering up to 30 meters radius*
It works by physical contact with the water particles carrying Maman's chakra
*No paralysis type effects are achieved, its a technique that creates false surroundings*
*Any means of countering an A rank Genjutsu are fair game once the opponent is out of range from Maman. Otherwise, the user must counter the mist or Maman in order to be able to release from the genjutsu (the later being a method or releasing the genjutsu itself)
*Maman is unable to preform any Elemental Jutsu and can only attack using direct contact
