i explained it. read the thread again. minato lacks the offence to land a hit. his arm, carrying rasengan, would pass through his liquid form gained from manipulating his body fluids. we know he can turn his whole body liquid because he used this to resist the vibrations from hakugeki no jutsu. kabuto can also use his sage mode prediction powers and sensing to sense minato attacking him. that or sensing his body heat through snake abilities.
if thats not enough, kabuto can take a hit, but still come out unscathed due to being able to become a completely snakelike form by spitting out a new body ala orochimaru.
minato's toad summons are not able to hurt or defeat manda II who is too big too fast and has too refined senses.
minato can counter visual genjutsu by moving so fast sharingan cant keep up but he cant counter something that can affect an entire area quickly like tayuya's flute and hakugeki.
theoretically kabuto can also control and manipulate minato's kunais via muki tensei and move them to wherever he wants.
no matter how you look at it, kabu is minato's WORST matchup possible

thats only harmful for kabuto, rasengan would blast away all the vital organs of kabuto by making the liquid swirl

both of them are meant for restricting the opponent's movements so that kabuto can then attack the opponent but they are not effective here
minato can still teleport while in white rage or sound genjutsu to avoid kabuto's immediate attack
white rage dissipates soon
sound genjutsu is broken by causing pain like biting own lips

Kabuto wins if he can activate his jutsu that allows him to turn his body into liquid each time Minato strikes.
Otherwise, Minato probably would have him on the ropes.
Really, this match up is like Tobi vs Minato. Kabuto's strength lies in that he cannot be harmed while his jutsu is active, because of its regenerative and physically untouchable abilities.. Same like Tobi...and we all saw how Tobi VS Mianto turned out.
Also, It's like you guys don't think Minato knows a sound Genjutsu when he sees one. Seriously guys. Minato isn't an idiot. If the enemy pulls out a flute, it's probably not to ask for money for good music.

:sy: You can't be serious. You can't plug your ears enough to block out every single sound wave.
Kabuto destroys Minato.
It may be a filler arc but Shikamaru recently simply plugged his ears.
Also, since this genjutsu is not the Tsukuyomi , all that means is that Minato can just calm his chakara down. Being a Hokage, he would naturally be an expert at doing something like this in seconds.

Minato is paralyzed. He can't make the necessary hand sign for Genjutsu Kai so he's stuck. Not to mention Sage Mode makes Kabuto using Mugen Onsa>Tayuya's Mugen Onsa.
Hand signs are not an absolute need to activate jutsu, as shown multiple times through out the series. It wouldn't be to hard to imagine a Hokage preforming the most basic level skills without hand signs.
Getting out of genjutsu is a basic skill.

When he has shown the ability to use Genjutsu Kai without hand signs then he can. Onoki is a Kage but needed hand signs to use Genjutsu Kai.
