Minato Namikaze vs. Kabuto Yakushi!
Hello Narutobase, I present to you all today and interesting Versus thread pitting two ninja against one another.
Minato Namikaze vs. Kabuto Yakushi ( Kabutomaru form )
Minato Namikaze:
Now we all know that Minato has a wide array of tactics in his disposal. He was an extraordinary genius with many feats accumulated over the course of his life. Let's recap on the ones we know:
-Hiraishin(Flying Thunder God Technique), the teleportation technique that hailed him as Yellow Flash of Konoha
-Plethora of Fuinjutsu, with a notable S/T able to absorb a TBB
-Rasengan, a reverse engineered TBB with notable force
-Keen combat insight
-Combat placement experience
These are most of his feats. The last two are from my own judgement upon his character. As we all know, Minato was known for being able to take out an armada of ninja. This was done through use of his kunai and effectively placing them in locations where he could be in multiple kill position. This experience along with his speed makes him a deadly ninja.
Kabuto Yakushi:
Kabuto Yakushi was once the subordinate of infamous Sannin Orochimaru. Over the course of the years, he has become a deadly antagonist as well as a key character in the Great Ninja War. I would like to note that this version of Kabuto is the most current form of Kabuto, also known as Kabutomaru. Lets list some feats:
-Snake Sage Mode, very formidable form of Sage Mode
-Abilities of Taka
-Abilities of Sound 5
-Abilities of Orochimaru
-Senjutsu from his Sage Mode, notably Senpu: Hakugeki no Jutsu (White Rage Technique)
-Medical Ninja history.
These wide array of ninjutsu is enough to destroy even the most powerful ninja in a matter of seconds. With access to Karin's self healing, Suigetsu's water dissipation and Jugo's passive Nature chakra absorption; Kabuto puts up a heavy fight. Most notable is his Snake Mode itself. The unique structure of his body allows him to gain heightened senses in exchange for his vision. This renders doujutsu genjutsu useless, which allowed him to fight on par with BOTH the Uchiha Brothers. With his medical ninja background, he also access to the anatomy of a ninja which can allow a counterattack from him to be fatal.
Verdict:
Now is the time for my personal verdict on this matter. Most people will automatically assume Minato to be the victor simply due to his astounding power. However, I like to assess a bit further to see who exactly takes the victory here. A highlight for this battle would be Kabuto's Sage Techique: White Rage. This technique is practically the killer here.
This technique launches a powerful attack that releases powerful vibrations and a blinding light. Hakugeki renders any ninja vulnerable due to the sheer magnitude of this attack. While victim in this attack, the opponent is locked out from his senses and unable to function properly. The only way that the Uchiha brothers were able to defend themselves was due to Itachi's keen insight:
Most of you will argue that Minato has the same intellect as Itachi. However, the only reason why Itachi and Sasuke did survive is because Itachi anticipated that Kabuto would attack Sasuke. In a 1 v 1 situation, Minato would not be able to have this advantage simply because Minato would be the only target. Now since Hakugeki is short to mid range, if Minato was quick enough with FTG he would be able to outrun the technique. The only problem is that Sound and Light have a very long range, meaning that dodging the initial explosion is meaningless.
Minato also has to fight against Kabuto's other range of abilities as well. I won't take the time to go into detail about them, but the combination of Taka and Sound 5's abilities along with Orochimaru's body shedding techniques make Kabuto one of THE strongest ninja out there.

Edit: I am not including Edo Tensei into the equation simply because nobody stands a chance against an undead army of high tier ninja. I am treating this fight similar to Kabuto's fight against Itachi and Sasuke with just himself.
