The fact that Minato is so fast would lead him to victory, but it wouldn't be easy. Though, I have to say, Jiraiya's ninjutsu in sage mode is pretty formidable...

At no point in his life could Jiraiya have killed Minato. Minato is basically Jiraiya but better in every single way.
Minato is faster than Jiraiya, has the same toad summons, was said to be a better toad summoner, is much better at sealing jutsu, is smarter, has ST jutsu including ST barriers, has elements that we haven't seen, etc.
People always underrate Minato because we have seen him in two fights, one where he was completely ambushed and was unprepared in every way. He has more than just FTG and rasengan, give the guy credit, he was said to be unsurpassable by several people, Jiraiya included.

Yeah I would like to see more of the variety of his arsenal. I mean he has so much skill in everything that has been shown so it's no stretch to assume he is a genius in everything.

Minato is great he got toad summons, rasengan, FTG and much more.
Jiraiya got Rasengan, Oodoma Rasengan, Earth and Fire release (Swamp of the underworld), he got tons of toad summons and toad techniques, he got the intelligence (Sometimes does'nt look like it lol), he is fast and strong plus SM. Ma and Pa, Goemon tons of sage art too.
I ask you once, when you say minato has that too do you mean Ma and Pa or Genjutsu? Well it is not shown that minato can summon them. Genjutsu idk.
Well if jiraiya had gone through his prep, Jiraiya wins.
If jiraiya can handle FTG (Which he probably can with his intelligence, he should be smart enough, not to let minato do so) if jiraiya enters SM and handle's minato's FTG or his kunai and stuff, then Jiraiya would win. Plus they got tons of jutsu both of them.
It will be high diff for both, but in the end i think Jiraiya would win, barely.
The only scary thing i see about minato is FTG, if i take that away i dont see him as that powerful but idk, well by hype and feats he is powerful.
Jiraiya wins with EXTREME Diff.
(Gamabunta and Jiraiya were good friends, but Gamabunta had pretty much his own will, plus he was a little ticked off by him summoning him to annoying places, so thats why he did'nt fully obey jiraiya)
