It wouldn't go entirely one way.

Gaara can crush and bury all of Minato's Kunai,effectively rendering his FTG technique useless.
Gaara can also control almost the entire field as he wants to and stay out of Minato's reach by using "Desert Suspension".

Minato however is been said to be a genius and would likely figure a way round this. That said, based on what the anime has shown us, I give this to Gaara.

well he would have to know its there 1st, unless you see the mark there is no way you could know even tobi didn't realise

It kept up with both Raikages, Jouki Boy, Amaterasu, and Lee..... Why not Minato.

What you also have to remember is that minato is faster than all them and his teleportation jutsu can travel a long distance, the raikage said himself minato and naruto are the only ones to have outrun him. I personally think minato would win but it would be a very close battle I think minato would come up with a winning strategy before gaara
