It's already stipulated since the kage summit that Sharingan was no match for a high speed start to follow, which makes the use of genjutsu difficult since a direct eye contact is needed for that to happen, and we have seen Minato owning Obito without being caught by a genjutsu, which shows he knows to fight Sharingan users and further proves what was already proven in kage summit by Raikage. Madara himself needed 5susanoos plus a distraction to actually immobilise Raikage, then put him in a genjutsu. That again proves how difficult it is to put a speedster like them in a genjutsu.

Minato has FTG which allows him to disappear and appear anytime, so the time taken to fix the opponent eye to eye, then put in a genjutsu is too slow since Minato could be at any place anytime thanks to his hirashin kunais. Because the movement is a teleportation move, it's also untraceable by the sharingan. The Obito owning proves that again. Because of the high speed of the jutsu and because of the restriction of taijutsu for Itachi(since taijutsu means blitz or receiving a marking, which would mean his end), Itachi's only chance to survive is Susanoo.

All his other jutsus(Amaterasu included) are too slow to even hit Minato who can teleport every second, every instant. With the radius of his FTG, he should be able to enter Susanoo like it was not even existing or simply deflecting all Itachi's attacks back thanks to S/T barrier. If needed, he can use Gamabunta as a support using long range suiton attacks or food cart destroyer in close combat. He may even contain Susanoo like he did with Kyubi(immensely larger), and warp Itachi on another location where it would be his end. Even if smh he couldn't, Susanoo would surely struggle, which would surely give an opportunity to Minato to blitz and finish him especially when we know that Susanoo makes the user slower than usual. Minato has many trump cards to defeat Itachi.

If he wants he can even summon Pa and Ma, they use frog song to paralyse Itachi and makes him unable to use Susanoo(we've seen that it was impossible to maintain Susanoo under those circumstances) and blitz him at that moment. Already marked by the jutsu shiki, the fight would be over. They can also use frog genjutsu as well or other Sennin mode attacks. If Minato has time to waste, he can simply continuously try to blitz Itachi until he stops his Susanoo either because of no chakra or because of side effects, which would again give a huge opportunity for Minato to win.

It's for all those reasons that i believe Minato is the superior combattant over Itachi even in normal circumstances. He would win mid difficulty. Now in your thread, you even restricted Tsukuyomi and gave full knowledge. With full knowledge and tsukuyomi restricted, it becomes a stomp in my opinion. Genjutsu is not happening. Even if somehow Minato could not handle it, he can simply summon gerotora or gamakichi and put him on his pocket in order to disturb his chakra if it happens. And for the rest of the fight i already explained how it will work

A Healthy Itachi with No Restrictions (Izanami doesn't work on Minato or most heroes for the matter) would probably Beat Minato absolutely Max diff. To the point you would call it a draw.

I don't know why keep making the same threads.
It's like the Jiraiya vs Itachi madness. But now is Minato we are
talking about.

I think most of NB member will agree that this two ninjas stand on equal grounds.

Itachi might not be as fast as Minato, but Killer Bee was able to fight Minato equal grounds.
Wich would make Itachi be able to do so aswell.
