Minato used to fight the Kyubi?

? Two tails was also not a perfect jinchuriki and yet could utilize her tailed beast to an extent that she could enter the bijuu mode and most definitely use the tailed beast bomb.... Bijuu's were used as weapons of war, don't forget about sunagakure and shukaku, it was specifically stated they used it as a tool..... with this in mind, why is this thread being argued around a premise that Bee and Naruto were the only Jinks he could possibly see the bombs from? Minato was in the fourth great ninja war... there would have been a host for the majority of the bijuu's , he my even have met Yagura on the battlefield...

It was stressed that Kushina's special chakra made her a almost perfect host for the Kyuubi, I cannot imagine the kyuubi rampaging out of Mito or her, not when they had it locked down so tightly with their chakra

Hmm i totally forgot about Yugito. It's true that despite not being perfect Jinchuriki, she could transform. So maybe Kushina could do the same? Then there could be a possibility that Minato used to train with a transformed Kushina?(in Kyubi) Like you have said, her chakra was special and perfect to be a host, so it's more than likely that she had decent control of her Beast. It could also explain where Minato got the time to study the Tailed Beast Bomb that easily to create his own one, because i doubt in a war situation, he would have to calmly observe it as if he could have it at home whenever he desires

I doubt Minato calmly observed it, simply because if the situation was suited for calm observation and analysis, I doubt it would have taken him 3 years to create it, when it isn't that difficult of a jutsu.. Minato is a genius, he probably saw it used once, maybe twice, and from that tried to reverse engineer it.. but because he only saw it once, it took a while until he could work out the mechanics of it.. only reason I see a genius taking so long to create something that most capable jonins and chunnins are able to learn without much effort... And

It depends on the teacher. A jman and kakashi were considered geniuses in their own right, yet we don't know how long it took for them to learn it.

Jman had to dumb it down for naruto to even understand it and naruto dumbed it down to the point where konohamaru thought it was a new sexy jutsu technique. Top it off these two still have to use clones to make it while the ppl listed above can do it without the use of clones and by proxy handseals.

Possible. Honestly, inventing something is harder than learning something with a teacher. Minato invented rasengan just from observing a TBB. Minato taught Jiraiya the rasengan . I bet it did not take 3 yrs for jiraiya to learn rasengan. Naruto also learned it in a short period of time. Kakashi learned it by copying it. This could mean that rasengan is something not everyone can easily learn. Well, I guess talent is needed to do a tech like rasengan.

Thar's why he brought back to life via edo. To gives us more about his life. And i'm pretty sure he created the rasengan throught his battle with A and Bee...that's why bee STATED (NOT KUSHINA,JIRAIYA OR ANY KONOHAS) that minato created rasengan while observe TBB.....

No. he did not create rasengan after his battle with A and B. Remember that kakashi was already using chidori during the 3rd ninja war. Kakashi invented chidori because he can't add his element using rasengan. It took Minato 3 yrs to complete rasengan. Based on this, we can say that Minato created rasengan when kakashi is 8-10 yrs old. Kakashi was like 13 during the gaiden.

Given the fact that Jinchurikis were hardly allowed on the battlefields [Bee was with Ay and also because Kumo was weakened] I'd say you are correct.

Its a known fact that when the Biijus rampaged the Kage would tame it like the 3rd Raikage, 4th Kazekage. I can imagine Minato handling the Kyuubi when it would go berserk. We saw how Hiruzen did against Kurama, so its safe to assume it was Minato who would battle the Kyuubi.

I support your theory a bit.
I say it's possible. We all know Kushina was Kyuubi jinchuriki since she was a kid. We could see that Naruto while young turned into four tails and used TBB without controlling Kurama at all (fight with Orochimaru). I think it's safe to assume that Kushina also might have had some problems with controling Kyuubi, especially knowing she was short tempered. Kurama would use moments of her anger just like he was doing with Naruto.
Minato didn't have to fight Kyuubi. He only needed to observe him using TBB when Kushina was loosing control (i really don't think she was capable of holding Kurama at bay since she was a kid). Anyway it's still plausible that Minato fought Kyuubi before (maybe not his perfect form but 4/5 tails or sth like that) and it's obviously more plausible that he's seen TBB not on one occasion

Its highly likely that minato saw kyubi's TBB which led to invention of rasengan.....
doesnt mean that he fought it himself alone, or in a group, but comparing how difficult it was to hold off hachibi even with the 3rd raikage, I'm sure it'd require quite a strong team to hold off kyubi, even if its a 6-tail version.....

Definitely Minato has seen at-least 1 of the tailed beast using TBB. Now it might be on the battlefield with other jinchuriki(s) in some kind of war.
Becuase it was never mentioned that Kushina had lost cnotrol of 9-Tails.

Other jinchurikis you say? It's another possibilty, but like i've said, only Bee and Yagura were known as perfect Jinchurikis. So even if what you say is true, it could only have happened if it was in a situation where we saw a Tailed Beast rampaging.

They don't have to be a perfect Jinchūrikis. They just have to go berserk on the battlefield, transform into their Tailed Beast and do a Tailed Beast Bomb. :yeah:

everybody body here seems to be underated the tailed beast. There's no time for someone...even minato to observe the tailed beast go berserk....especially if your wife go berserk. The only and first thing every shinobi have in mind if their tailed beast going crazy is how to keep it as far as from the village and immediately seal it away. Remeber the jinchuriki before bee...or gaara....and konoha is lucky that they distantly related with uzumaki clan...so they always got the perfect jinchuriki when is needed.....
