1. earth is one of 5 basic elements used by ninja for attack/defence as so on using ninjutsu...
2. Used to harden oneself, avoid jutsu, mud jutsu, its just power really. And hard
3. stong vs water, weak vs lightning, combine with water to make mud, combine with fire to make lava, its always good for binding opponent of sneaking up on opponent, eg. going underground (But this sucks if they see you do it)

now.. i want you to pour your chakra into that, using it to force the molecules in the stone to separate, then i want you to move them around into the shape of a kunai by using your chakra to apply force to the earths new malleable form.
once you have done that, re harden the earth by placing a later of chakra around the kunai and use it to compress the earth to make it solid.. pay special attention to the edges.. ensuring you get them to a sharp quality.
