I've just been sorta.... reading old chapters, and an idea sparked in my mind, these are my thoughts.
So, ever noticed how.... Minato, during the Kakashi Gaiden, was NEVER around when Kakashi and friends needed him? most specifically, when they are in the cave that Obito is about to be killed in, he could have paid those enemy shinobi to attack them, and try to plan a way to kill Kakashi, and possibly Rin, in order to piss off Obito, because he knew, or might have known that Obito was the type of person who could be changed in a drastic way by a tragic event.
Rather, Obito managed to save Kakashi and instead, sacrifice himself.
Now... WHY would Minato want to try to piss off Obito?
so that he could awaken his Mangekyou, and enter the fragile emotional state when you can be easily manipulated, he had been watching from far, and I have some evidence of this because:
Minato never intervened until Kakashi hopped up from the rubble and pulled Rin, that's when he passed out .
Minato probably had planned on Obito going Mangekyou-rage on the enemy Shinobi, so that he could show up in some disguise, and be all like "this world is trash, Kill people, burn ****, **** school"
So, some of you might be asking, "What would he do after Obito was persuaded?"
well, now this is where Orochimaru comes into play, Orochimaru, had gone under disguise, and threatened Minato, the most popular ninja around, with the idea of destroying the village and kidnapping Kushina, unless, he forced Obito to awaken, so that he could trap him, and take his body.
but obviously, that plan was foiled, and in turn, Obito did end up awakening the Mangekyou, but instead attacked the village, Orochimaru got the news, and was all like "Well, it couldn't be helped, But I will keep a close eye on your son for you...."
this lead Orochimaru to Sasuke, and then yada yada yada.... 3 years later, Sasuke leaves, and now we have this..... Orochimaru has revived the Kages, Orochimaru needs Minato to subdue Sasuke so he can enter his body, and then apply Senju DNA, and get the Rinnegan.
TLDR, Minato ****ed up, and now Orochimaru is going to **** him up for ****ing up.
PS: I know it sounds like I'm pulling this out of my ass it's because half of it is.
