Minato was a fairly tall, fair-skinned man who on more than one occasion has been compared with Naruto in terms of physical appearance; both have bright, blue eyes and spiky, blond hair. Minato also had jaw-length bangs framing either side of his face. According to Jiraiya, Minato was considered to be very handsome.

His normal attire consisted of a standard Konoha-nin uniform with two bands each on both of his sleeves, a leaf green flak jacket, blue forehead protector, and blue sandals. After becoming Hokage, he started wearing a short-sleeved long white haori over his normal attire, decorated by orange flames-like motifs on the edges, with the kanji for "Fourth Raikage" (四代目火影, Yondaime Hokage) written vertically down the back, and closed on the front by a thin, orange rope.

During his time in the Academy, he wore a simple white suit of clothing with green trimmings and a hood. After becoming a full-fledged shinobi, he wore a tracksuit with three stripes on the sleeves, mesh under-armour, a pair of black pants and sandals.

P E R S O N A L I T Y _|_ 性格

While physically resembling Naruto, Minato's personality is a strong contrast from Naruto's. Minato was collected and highly perceptive. During difficult events, he would remain composed, assessing the situation and devising appropriate plans of action. Jiraiya said that Minato was a shrewd person, not one to do something without reason. Minato was also a very cautious individual as he set up at least two safe houses as well as scattered his Flying Thunder God Kunai over the outskirts of Konoha, presumably so he can intercept enemies that cross Konoha's borders. Ultimately enabling him to subdue the latter and remove his control over Kurama without causing more chaos in Konoha.

He also seemed well aware of the terror his reputation inspired in his foes. At the same time, he was considered a nice person and very respectful to others; he didn't like freely speaking about others' pasts, and would always talk to them with respect. He deeply cared for and loved his wife and child, becoming very nervous because of Kushina's pain during labour and even shedding tears of joy at his son's birth. Minato also deeply cared for the village and all the shinobi, saying that they all are a big family. He also enjoyed reading, and took a special liking to reading Jiraiya's work in particular.

Minato was known for his indomitable spirit, drive, determination, and fierce ambition which was inherited by his son. His devotion to the village, and his love for his friends inspired all those around him, and, as a result, he became well-liked by the villagers. Minato is also shown to be very forgiving, as even the revelation that the masked man who was responsible for his and Kushina's deaths was none other than Obito Uchiha wasn't enough to make him show the slightest bit of anger toward his former student, and instead showed great sadness over the fact that Obito ended up like that and desired to save him instead. One quirk Minato possess is his tendency to create ridiculous names for techniques. Upon seeing Naruto and Sasuke's combination Rasenshuriken, Minato decided to name it Scorch Release: Halo Gale Jet Black Arrow Style Zero, a grandiose title which he himself thought didn't sound good.

After becoming Hokage, Minato started to take more pride in himself, referring to himself as "ore", which is a prideful way of saying "I" or "me", instead of using "watashi", a more formal way of referring to one's self. Still, this did not make him haughty as he still addressed others with the appropriate honourifics.After learning about the Uchiha Clan Massacre, Minato confessed himself disappointed in failing to meet the Third's expectations for him, as his reign as Hokage was shortened by his sacrifice during Kurama's attack on the village, believing that the Uchiha clan's situation could have possibly had a different outcome, if he had survived.

Like Jiraiya, Minato was taught to use senjutsu of Mount Myōboku, enabling him to enhance his physical parameters and techniques by entering Sage Mode. By his own admission, senjutsu is not his strong point, as it takes him too long to gather natural energy and he can't maintain it for very long; for this reason he rarely uses it. Nevertheless, he was able to perfectly balance the natural energy with his chakra, only displaying the pigmentation around his eyes — the true marking of a Sage.

Description: The user, by standing perfectly still in a meditative focus (user must stay still for 1 turn), will draw into him natural energy which he will then blend with their own chakra adding a new dimension of power to it. By doing this, the user gains access to what is called senjutsu chakra. This new chakra allows the user to enter an empowered state called Sage Mode, which then drastically increases the strength of his techniques and his physical prowess (speed, strength, stamina, etc). This variation is unique to Namikaze Minato and is otherwise akin of the one know as perfect Sage Mode which was first used by Naruto who could perfectly balance natural energy with chakra due to his unusual large chakra supply. Minato, however, doesn't have enough chakra to fully master the technique and, while he has great precision in his chakra balance, enabling him to achieve a Sage Mode which is visually equal to his son's perfect mastery, he cannot sustain the technique to long and its results are far inferior to those of Naruto. The user gains horizontal slit pupils and orange markings around his eyes, reminiscent of Toads and pertain to the users connection with them. Their physical strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and durability dramatically increase, with more emphasis on strength, endurance and stamina rather than speed and reflexes. The user can harness the natural energy surrounding them, turning it into an extension of their body, which increases the reach of their attacks through the use of Frog Kata. While sage mode is active, minor wounds heal slowly as time passes and the user gains the ability to passively sense his surroundings through the natural energy, in a similar but more precise and enhanced way as normal chakra sensing. Unlike other techniques, the user will not feel any depletion in terms of stamina and energy and will feel revitalized and strong while its active. However, once it ends, the exhaustion of sustaining such a delicate chakra balance takes over the user until he can recover. While Sage Mode is active, the user will take little damage from techniques D-Rank and below, and C-Rank and below Taijutsu. When Sage mode ends the user then experiences physical exhaustion reducing their capabilities the following turn preventing him from using techniques above A-Rank and Taijutsu above B-Rank. Minato cannot prevent this with the use of the Amphibian Technique like Jiraya or other Sage Mode user and is limited to using a shadow clone to collect natural energy and dispelling them before sage mode ends, granting him a slight increase in the duration of Sage Mode. Taijutsu gains +10 damage, main elemental affinity gains +15 damage, other elemental ninjutsu gain +5 damage and Genjutsu gains +5 damage.
Note: Sage Mode lasts for a total of 4 turns, unless a clone is used in the last turn to increase the duration by 1 additional turn, which can only be done once.
Note: The use of Frog Katas cuts the length of Sage mode by three turns, instead of the normal two.

After years of fighting and training with Hiraishin no jutsu and Bukijutsu, Minato thought of a way to implement both together and make it more versatile than his FTG kunai. He made a new type of explosive tags that is slightly larger that the normal explosive tag. The main difference between this explosive tag and the normal explosive tag is that, on the right side of this particular type of Explosive tag, the FTG seal is present. This enables the user to perform FTG seal based techniques with this explosive tag. Another thing to note is that, the FTG that is placed is quite big such that it will be easy for others to differentiate it from other normal explosive tags like Minato's FTG kunais. The Raijin's Gauntlet is a special gauntlet that was designed by Minato Namikaze himself in order to increase and polish his strategy in Ninjutsu and Hiraishin Jutsu. The Gauntlet is a regular steel Gauntlet which consist of a foldable hidden cross bow on it such that when it is worn on the hands, the Crossbow is hidden under the wrist of the user. This Crossbow is fed mini bolts on each Gauntlet that are made out of materials that are used to manufacture kunais.

Abilities:
The general ability of this crossbow is that the crossbow can send normal or Seal marked (FTG) bolts like a freeform Kunai throw. The Crossbow can send tiny bolt infused with raw chakra like a regular kunai or infuse them with one of the basic five elemental chakras to improve the effect it has on the target like Infusing it with wind to increase sharpness, Lightning to increase piercing power, Fire to burns, earth to harden, etc. Releasing normal or "Infused" bolt(s) comes under freeform attack, like a freeform "infused" Kunai throw.

First Ability:
The first one is that when the infused bolts are released towards the target, the user can perform a single special hand seal ( Like Deidara's "Katsu" ) in order to make the Bolts blast to create a short ranged explosion of the desired element. The explosion will be A ranked in strength and this ability can only be used three times per battle. This counts towards the user's jutsu per turn limit.

Second Ability:
The second ability is the user is able to attach ninja wire/strings to the tail of the bolts while they are released . While these strings are normally A ranked ninjutsu in strength, they are very sharp so that they can slice through or severe a human flesh with ease. The user can use these wire attached bolts(s) to bind the opponent, constricting the movement of any part of the body and pin them to any surface or the ground with the bolt acting as the anchor point fixing itself to the ground/surface. The user can anchor the bolt to any surface/sentinel object as a means to pull himself up ( For example, The user can anchor the bolt to a tree/ground near a swamp to get out of it) . The Wire is A ranked in strength however when these wires are attached to elemental infused bolts they are of A ranked in strength of that particular element and follows elemental strength and weakness. The elemental wires when severing the opponent or impaling through them produces the effects of their particular element. This second ability can be used only 4 times per battle and consumes one jutsu slot. Only one the ability can be used at a time and never both combined. Meaning if the users sends an elemental bolts with wire attached, the user can only use the second ability and cannot make the bolt blast up to create the effect of the first ability.

The Gauntlets are very strong and virtually indestructible but this doesn't mean they can defend against anything and everything. The weapon is chakra sensitive hence when someone else wears it, the gauntlet releases S ranked spikes from within it impaling and severing the hands of the person who used it.

History

Early life:

When Minato was in the Academy, his class-mate Kushina Uzumaki thought that he looked "unreliable" and even "girly". He dreamed of being acknowledged by the Konoha villagers by becoming the Hokage, which Kushina considered to be an impossible dream for someone like him.

Years later, however, when Kushina was kidnapped by Kumogakure ninja, Minato was the only one to pick up on the fact that she was leaving behind strands of her red hair to mark their path. After rescuing her, Minato explained that he had always admired her hair. No longer seeing him as "unreliable", she fell in love with him.

According to those who knew him personally, Minato was a very talented ninja prodigy — a rare genius that appeared only once in a generation. He graduated from the Academy at the age of ten, and was added to a genin team under the tutelage of Jiraiya, who took a special interest in Minato, and took him on as an apprentice, amongst other things teaching him the Summoning Technique and senjutsu. He even believed Minato might be the Child of the Prophecy, someone who would someday save the world. According to Jiraiya, Minato was one of the most talented shinobi who ever lived, a calibre that has yet to be met by anyone else. During the Third Shinobi World War, flee-on-sight orders were given to enemy shinobi should they ever see him appear on the battlefield. During the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, Tobi believed Minato to be the only one capable of interfering with his plans and, indeed, it was only though Minato's actions that the attack was ended and the village saved from complete destruction. When, years later, the invasion of Konoha loomed, Minato was believed to be the only one who could have stopped the threat Orochimaru posed to Konoha, and for that reason his death was deeply regretted. Minato's fighting style revolved around using no hand seals whatsoever so that he would not waste time in a battle.

Konoha's Yellow Flash:

In time, Minato married Kushina. He also became a jōnin and was put in charge of a genin team of his own, consisting of Rin Nohara, Obito Uchiha, and Kakashi Hatake. For their test to officially become genin, Minato tasked them with taking one of two bells from him in actual combat. Despite the team not having full loyalty towards each other, seeing them work together to snatch even one bell convinced Minato to pass his team.During the Third Shinobi World War, Minato led his team on a mission into Kusagakure to destroy the Kannabi Bridge. Because Kakashi had recently become a jōnin, Minato gave leadership of the mission to Kakashi while he went to help Konoha's forces on the front lines. After meeting up with the surviving and out-numbered Konoha ninja, Minato used his Flying Thunder God Technique to kill the opposing Iwagakure ninja, in the anime stated to be a thousand shinobi. He then returned to his team, just in time to save Kakashi and Rin from another group of Iwa forces, but was too late to save Obito. When Kakashi and Rin recovered from the ordeal, Minato helped them complete the mission.

Fourth Hokage :

Some time after the war, Minato, not yet thirty years of age, was chosen to become the Fourth Hokage. At some point between being chosen as the Fourth Hokage and his inauguration, Minato clashed with A on what was seemingly their first meeting, Minato, an unnamed Inuzuka and Akimichi, and a non-distinct fourth member, confronted A and his team. There, Minato and A had a clash of speed with Minato almost severely injuring the future Raikage before B intercepted the attack. Upon receiving the signal that Konoha was retreating for the time being, Minato lingered to praise B's bravery and told A that he had a good family and followers surrounding him, and also offered A the advice of making sure his brother knew who he was before he became neither human nor jinchūriki. Minato then declared that the next time they met, it would be to put the title of "Kage" on the line. Not one to allow his enemy to escape so easily, A attempted to attack Minato before he left. Believing that Minato would teleport to one of his special kunai, A was shocked to see the Konoha-nin appear behind his brother before realising that Minato had marked him earlier. Impressed by the fact that B had reacted fast enough to pull one of his swords on him, Minato praised B for his skills. Minato then escaped and would continue to clash with A on several occasions.
At some point during his reign, Minato taught the Flying Thunder God Technique to the Hokage Guard Platoon to better aid them in their duties of serving the Hokage at any given time. In the anime, shortly after Minato's official reign began, he sent Kakashi on a mission to retrieve important documents to aid the delicate transition of peace between Konoha and Iwa. Knowing that Kakashi was still traumatised by the death of Rin by the young jōnin's own hand, Minato sent Might Guy and some Anbu as secret backup for Kakashi, which proved to be a wise decision as Kakashi soon collapsed from hyperventilation in battle. Visiting his former student in the hospital, feeling that his student needed a new direction as a ninja, Minato decided to promote Kakashi to the Anbu, working directly under Minato himself.
Later, when Kushina became pregnant, the two expecting parents were overjoyed. Kushina, however, became a nervous of their future child's well-being, to which Minato promised as a father he would definitely protect their child. Midway through the pregnancy, Jiraiya visited with his first book. Minato read it and admired the main character's determination, — whom he believed to be just like Jiraiya — and decided to name their son "Naruto", after said character, in the hopes that he would be just like him and, in turn, Jiraiya. Jiraiya warned them that it would make him Naruto's godfather, but they insisted that this was a good thing.
Because Kushina was the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, special arrangements had to be made for Naruto's birth. Since the seal keeping the Nine-Tails within her would weaken during childbirth, Naruto would be secretly delivered in a remote location outside Konoha. In the anime, as Kakashi continued his duties in Anbu admirably, Minato grew concerned when reports told him that Kakashi was growing colder in all his aspects. Deciding to help Kakashi regain his value of life, he went to Hiruzen for advice, who suggested that he assign Kakashi to protect Kushina during the pregnancy.
On the night Kushina's due date, Minato decided to give Kakashi the day off as gratitude for his good work. Soon after Naruto was born they were found by a masked man who had killed the Anbu stationed outside and infiltrated the cave where Kushina was giving birth. The masked ninja killed Biwako Sarutobi and Taji then took Naruto hostage, threatening to do the same to him. Minato was able to take Naruto back, but this gave his opponent the chance to escape with Kushina to break the seal. By the time Minato found a safe place to put Naruto and teleported back to Kushina, the Nine-Tails had already been released and was poised to kill Kushina, whom he spirited away to safety just before the Fox could finish its strike. Hiding Kushina away with Naruto for their safety, Minato heads to Konoha to defend it from the Nine-Tails.
Minato arrived in the early stages of the Nine-Tails' attack and was able to protect the village from the beast's Tailed Beast Ball by erecting a barrier and sending the attack elsewhere, before trying to reach the Third Hokage in order to inform him of what had happened. This plan was quickly stopped by the masked man, who tried to warp him away. However, Minato flew to another one of his kunai, and was quickly followed by his opponent. Analysing his opponent, Minato came to assume that the man standing before him was Madara Uchiha, which he discarded by saying that Madara was dead. When the two began fighting, Minato realised that the battle would be decided by speed, and by carefully timing his Flying Thunder God Technique, Minato was able to strike the masked man with a Rasengan and apply the Flying Thunder God Technique seal on his back as well. This allowed him to teleport directly to the masked ninja and uses a Contract Seal to sever the ninja's hold on the Nine-Tails before he could escape.
