I don't think you understand what talent means. A lot of you are saying Minato is more talented because he wasn't born with his abilities, but talents are actually things you ARE born with. The word talent means NATURAL ability, meaning your inherited skill set. The only talents Minato had at birth were his quick reflexes. And I'm sorry, but quick reflexes do not trump the sharingan. So no, Minato was not more talented than Itachi.

However, Minato is still stronger,more skilled and more impressive. He's more skilled because he created the Rasengan, FTG, and was a master at sealing jutsu. He's more impressive because even though Itachi became a member of anbu at age 13, Minato became the youngest HOKAGE.

And he's stronger simply because this guy beat Tobi and stopped the Nine Tails on the same night. I doubt Itachi could even beat Tobi let alone stop the Nine Tails right after that. Plus, with the FTG, Minato is fast enough to where the Sharingan has trouble keeping up with him, as we saw in his fight with Tobi. In fact, if it wasn't for Tobi knowing teleportation jutsu, he would've lost that fight even quicker. Itachi doesn't know any of that jutsu, so a few FTG tricks and he would be finished against Minato.

In the end. Minato>Itachi. But no Itachi is technically more talented

When people like you list jutsu it makes minato look, pathetic I could list accomplishments for any character then make up some baseless claim

And he wasn't the youngest hokage stop making up foolishness

Itachi is ahead of minato as far as age & strength so chill out stop down grading both uchihas because minato is your favorite

1. he has no kg. the sharingan is a HUGE boost, the ms even more so. itachi's and sasuke's powers are centered around it, apart from their skill with weapons, sasuke's lightning chidori variations, and some genjutsu of itachi's.
2. he developed his own jutsu, which are of a massive level. the others simply awakened or copied them.
3. he's skilled in fuinjutsu at an early age, which is the hardest skill to learn
4. his reactions and speed exceed itachi's and sasuke's, even with the sharingan bost

To be honest, It is pretty even. Sasuke has the sharingan but Minato uses Space-time techniques and is as fast as hell. Both have their Cons and Pros. But id stick with Minato this time, the reason is that we havent even seen him been ALL OUT in a battle and he has been so strong already. With his smart thinking, space-time... and quick reflexes, I believe he would probably have the upper hand.

At the end of the day its all opinion. I personally don't consider saske worthy of being mentioned so i'm not going to address him. I have to give it to Minato, KKG is a huge advantage. Sure not just anyone can use it but you have an advantage from the start plus its a very powerful ability. Minato is starting from scratch people. Tobi is a handful and Minato handled him impressively. As far as Jiraiya's comments: sure anyone can say anything but you have to consider who is saying it. Jiraiya is one of the most famous and skilled ninja in their world and highly respected so his opinion has more weight than others. I see Itachi as more of a powerful ninja(still brilliant & talented) and Minato having the edge in talent. Just because you're talented, smart or powerful doesn't mean you cant be beaten.

Well, in my opinion I do think Minato is more talented. I mean, he made one of the sickest techniques in the manga, and also created probably one of the deadliest fuuinjutsu's known to date, that has to be a testament of his true genius and intellect.

Creating 3 jutsu before the age of 30 is an amazing feat, not to mention becoming Hokage, you got to hand it to him, but I guess only from what we know, all we can do is have an opinion on such matters.

I think Hiruzen might have become Hokage at a younger age than Minato, maybe, so you could be right in him not being the younest. But regardless, we've seen Minato go up against a sharingan and win, period. Tobiis stronger than Itachi. Period. Minato beat Tobi. Period. I don't care who your favorite is fanboy.

U_U just to clarify, Minato being better than Itachi is not a bad thing. I hate when fanboys get so personal that they think saying someone is better than their favorite character means they're favorite sucks or something. Both Minato and Itachi are in the top 5 ninja in the manga regardless.

People keep saying we haven't seen enough of Minato or we don't about Minato....we know he beat Tobi, who lets face it is a stronger sharingan user than Itachi. We know that with the FTG, Tobi couldn't even keep up with him and needed his space-time jutsu to last as long as he did. Unless you think Itachi can beat Tobi, which you have to be a serious fanboy to think something like that, then just from knowing that Minato beat Tobi says that he would probably beat Itachi too. But thats NOT A BAD THING. No one is saying Minato would wipe the floor with him

And by the way my favorite character is neither of them, it's actually Gaara. Yes, GAARA. I know sounds crazy, but he sticks out to me :shrug: So Uchiha fanboys please no spamming me with "You love Minato" comments

Couldn't agree less. And its probably obvious that Minato is better in strength since Itachi is a Genjutsu user and ninjutsu. But Yondaime on the other hand uses jikukan ninjutsu, taijutsu, ninjutsu and fuinjutsu

I'm not a Minato fan, nor an Uchiha fan, but yeah, Minato is more talented and more gifted than the Uchiha, Uchihas are excellent ninjas no doubt, Sasuke proved that before using his Sharingan, then Sharingan enhaced his abilities, Minato has no Blood Line Limit abilities and was able to accomplish alone without any Blood Limit ability and of course we haven't see all of his tricks, sorry just trying to speak the truth U_U

I think sasuke is more talented than minato and probably as talented as madara...
After all he did achieve ems, something all uchihas except madara couldn't achieve.
Minato is a genius no doubt about that but i'm not sure he's more talented than itachi, both shisui and itachi were said to be the most gifted in the use of occular jutsu... Until i see more from him i'll place itachi above him.

The uchias got massacred early on so we dont know alot about indivual people
