Minato might have killed Tobi/Obito during their fight if not for Hashirama's cells and the kyuubi.
Minato's rasengan (which packs a punch equal to Naruto's oodama rasengan) hit home and destroyed Obito's arm injuring him severely.Obito survived solely because his arm was made artificially from Hashirama's cells.If by any chance that wouldn't have killed him, then Minato's FTG kunai stab that followed was another fatal hit.Also, Minato had marked Obito and would've probably chased after him if he did not had to deal with the Kyuubi.

So many things are plot dependent for example Obito not wraping the jins in their sleep 1 by 1 to get all the bijuu during part 1 Naruto, He would've easily gotten all within a week lolz.....but PLOT!!

That Rasengan would've killed him if he didn't have that zetsu side.If he did not have those modifications he would have been dead or near dead for sure.If you're one of those who think Rasengan can't kill anybody then well..then it wuld be a really long discussion..Obito did got up but he wasn't able to pull even a single move after that..he just stood there while Minato stabbed him and then placed the contract seal.Hence he was injured enough that he couldn't fight back after that and decided to flee..

You want to read manga again zetsu half body is very weak when obito hit the rock hiszetsu hand was broken so u say thAt rock power is equal to rasengan power i say no ,his half body is very very weak than his normal half this is stated by spiral zetsu so only he wrapped obito body to fight against mist.And also just think what happens to minato if he has two mangeyou he will kill minato in seconds n destroy leaf .if we think we can think every possible way so just go on manga line.sorry for bad english.

If he were to use any other power, he would of been killed too.

What about the mokuton?

Why didn't he used that against minato?

The only reason why Obito's arm broke was because it still wasn't full healed.

Kcm naruto rasengan hit Obito in the same placed, yet he healed it off easily and still use mokuton with it.
