Heres my theory.
The reason why Minato is so fast is because he has the swift release KKG. A bit far fetched using a KKG from a non-cannonical source, but storm release is actually confirmed, so maybe the others might be as well.
This may also contribute to why Naruto is so fast when using Kurama's chakra. At the time it might have been sealed away along with Kurama to help protect him from Minato's enemies, so now that he has the key and has gained control of Kurama's chakra, he is able to access it at will.
Either that or Kurama's chakra alone triggers the ability for him to use swift release as he wouldn't be able to do so alone because he had never used it before.
Again, this is somewhat of a far-fetched theory since people would have known his KKG before, but its one of the possible reasons why he could be called the yellow flash.
