^ This. What the OP is failing to realize. It takes time to break out of a genjutsu, even if it is only a second or two; however, in battles of this caliber, a a second or two can mean the difference between winning and losing.

BTW i'm a huge Minato fan, but realistically his only chance would be a surprise attack on Itachi.

This thread is a compilation of assumptions and flawed theories. A GOOD sum of people here think FTG is instant sadly. Remember, Minato needs to either; A) Mark Itachi B) Throw his Kunai near him.

Itachi was a master of kunai and shurikens, I'd say the chances of countering his Kunai was pretty high. In addition to this, If Itachi were to use Susano'o, Minato would not have a technique powerful enough to break through his Yata Mirror.

If itachi casted Tsukuyomi on Minato, I would have doubts if he could break free. Up till now, the only person to have known to break out of it was Sasuke, and that was most likely a result of his sharingan.



In conclusion, Minato is indeed strong, but against Itachi, he is at a disadvantage. This is the biggest problem with comparing characters. They might be extremely powerful, but pitted against someone who has advantages over him and they could potentially lose. Therefore, I find it very illogical to even compare characters, we would never know who would win.

FTG! Yeah well, its not the greatest move ever. It moves
the user to one place to another. Has no actual effect on
the enemy. Not to mention, Itachi has a sharingan and
can prepare for it right after he uses it, or even spam a
genjutsu before he uses it. You really fail fanboy xD

This can be summarized in speed (FTG) versus genjutsu (Tsukuyomi). We have not seen how Minato can counter genjutsu, but we know that his speed surpasses everyone. I think the first who use his ability wins.

Also, I don't see the point of Itachi using Susanoo because the fight would be a stalling.

why i think that ?? Well Amaterasu wouldn't do anything to minato since he has FTG, second since Minato can summon Gamma the boss to fight susaano won't be that big of a help for itachi , looking at both speed theres no way itachi can catch up , chakra wise, Minato has a lot of chakra seeing he can sumon gammabunta while itachi from his illness , has a lot less , he won't be able to hold long with susanno since he's sick and Minato can still get with a rasengan . BTW I'm not a Minato Fan , I'm a Naruto fan

Itachi has a pretty much unbreakable defence(Head on)
Minato cannot be caught by any of his techniques

I know u won't care much about my opinion but I got to tell u that ur 1 of the ppl I hate most on NB. Your def not illogical but u are very rude and stubborn. No matter how good arguments I give, if they are against u then u wud never accept them. That being said I do admit u brought up really good points in that itachi vs minato thread. I will respond when I find some decent arguments. But I bet no matter how greatly I respond u wud jus call me a fanboy or something like that becuz ur a hater.
