Not necessarily. To an uchiha, the feats that obito has portrayed is in line with their ancestor. In the end Madara did pour his knowledge into Obito after all.

neither one has shown any significant intelligence. Btw going by your thread, Orochimaru is more intelligent than both, as he was able to discover Tobi's identity. The only person of the three who had the less information on both Obito (Minato's student) and Madara (Uchiha Legend).

I liked the way both fanbases keep trolling each othe then an orochimaru fan just came and solo'ed by saying orochimaru/kabuto knew tobi's identity. Once an orochimaru says this its pointless trolling anymore, because you are going agains't the manga now

Minato never believed tobi was definitely madara just like kakashi had doubts(like sensei like pupil). That doesnt change the fact that it is a pointless base for intelligence for both minato & itachi

Minato already knew pain was being used by tobi eventhough he never met pain. He knew the real madar wouldnt go through all that and something was up. Even the hot headed Raikage was suspicious b4 tobi came up with an excuse. Minato wouldnt buy that bs, kakashi certainly didnt

minato figured out tobi and beat him and on top of that, he created a plan to take bith madara and obito down and it is still effective while itachi failed at attempted to killed tobi via sasuke with amaterasus but failed; as well as, failing to save sasuke from darkness and revenge. minato never ever gotten hit by any shinobi while, itachi does. so, both are my favorite but minato is smarter and trickier. Stop with those same thread.

Although they did both fail in there assumptions about who's behind the mask, there is still a comparable scenario between the two.

They both assumed Tobi was madara because tobi knows a lot of unknown knowledge from the past that madara or someone of his age would, due to madaras teachings[infinite tsukyomi training] therefore even though they were both wrong they made educated guesses that were partially correct since obito essential became madara when he "died"

The thing we can compare between these two is there plans for the future.

Minato- Within minutes of being around tobi minato was able to figure out that that he was a great threat for the future of the shinobi world and that he must do something to be ale to stop him. Minatos intelligence gave him the powerful insight to make the decision to sacrifice himself in order to save his village and create a power strong enough to protect the leaf and counter tobi. Minato knew that naruto would be able to control the fox one day and that he would counter balance tobis power. He even put himself and Kushina into the equation to help naruto control the kyuubi.

Itachi- itachi is also very intelligent and brave like minato. He is also a hero because he was able to see the consequences it would have on the future if he did not take action immediately just like minato with the fox. he knew that if he did not take out the Uchia it would result in all out war. Here minato and itachi are equal in thinking about the future and taking action to prevent catastrophe.

Where itachi falters is that he spent years around tobi and was not able to foresee thee great threat he imposed on the future of the shinobi world.

Itachi mearly thought of tobi as a shell of madaras former self and that he was incapable of doing anything... But he was wrong. itachi planned out his actions in thoughts that sasuke would follow the path itachi was trying to lead him down but failed in the end because sasuke abandoned the village and allowed hatred to consume him. Itachi wanted to build sasuke into a hero who would serve as a formidible force to protect konoha. Instead sasuke turned out to be the opposite, an avenger set on destroying the leaf. Itachis plans only went as far as to give the ems to sasuke and give naruto counter if sasuke didn't follow his plan. Itachis amateras protection from tobi failed, sasuke was manipulated. His plan for sasukes life failed and his counter for naruto didn't serve it's intended purpose.

Those who wll try to argue that itachi has pulled off more intelligent feats are incorrect because those who are truely intelligent don't get caught up in the present but plan ahead for the future. those who are able to predict the future accurately and plan accordingly are the most intelligent.

Ex: one scenario that people have tried to use to = minato saving village stopping fox etc is that itachi found blind spot to rinnegan and saved naruto and bee. Well yes this is true and a feat of intelligence... he also spent years around Nagato and the rinnegan and had time to figure out its weaknesses.

Those who can come up with a plan quickly and execute it effectively are the smartest.


In the end minato is deemed more intelligent because of the fact that he was able to make plans for the future which went as intended and he was able to create a counter balance for tobis power To protect konoha within a few minutes under massive pressure. itachi had years to perfect and alter his plan, yet it still failed. Thus Minatos intelligence exceeds itachis.

Because Itachi had his own business, you know? He was planning Sasuke's future, he was sick, furthermore did you see him fighting Obito? How can you jump on conclusions when Itachi most probably never seen him in action.
The Uchiha massacre was a hype and Itachi most probably killed his family while Obito did wipe out the rest of his clan...
Akatsuki was messed up in general and the only reason for him to not recognize Obito was because Kishi decide it.
Even the rest of Akatsuki didn't know about Nagato and Obito. And that makes Itachi less intelligent? Blame Kishi instead?
It's not Itachi's fault but the good plan of Obito.
Minato recognize that he's not Madara because they fight.

Everything in the manga was written by kishi so that includes itachi getting duped, which he was. Now stop whining cuz itachi also said he was trained by tobi so no way he didnt see him in action. Putting the blame on kishis no excuse itachi is not quite as smart as minato.

Itachi > Minato in many ways. Genjutsu is enough to beat Minato since he doesn't have a counter for it and as we've all seen Itachi is able to lay a Genjutsu on someone before the fight even starts without that person even being aware of it. Flying Thunder God Itachi's ****ing ass, Itachi makes him use it against himself.
