In a serious speaking he died like a legend(don't want to mention all the hype by j-man and such), but we all know what Obito told Naruto about him currently in the war.
He is responsible for numerous deaths, and failed at his duty to be the savior.

Currently,
he is making mistakes over and over again. Instead of regretting the current state of Obito he had to let Kakashi to finish him off or doing that all by himself. U_U
In the end many people died because of the cry baby Obito, we all know that what lies ahead of Obito is death.

the mistake we make is setting extremely high standards for a person we all know is awsome

because it's minato ................ we expect nobody to die and we want minato to save each and every ninja from the leaf during a time of war/ or important mission

what we dont realise is that these standards are impossible to meet

He was never overhyped, people simply think he didn't live up to his hype because he couldn't defat Juubito, which may I add is ignorant. Him having stopped Sasuke and Kakashi from killing him is in no way a unfavourable situation. Obito ins't a threat anymore, as simple as that. Have you ever been in a war where no matter what you are at end of your limits ion one way or another? It's common to feel responsible for your comrades and wonder if you could save them. You cannot save everyone all the time no matter how talented you are even if you carry survivor's guilt for the rest of your life. Minato just showed how considerate and empathic even towards the person who was cause of his family's destruction even and from where Naruto gets his inherent understanding of emotions vibrating from other people.

If you are in the fight only because you are expecting to be saved by someone else no matter who he is, you are already setting yourself up on the path of failure. Rin herself didn't want to be saved that badly. She preferred her death over hurting her own village, remember.
