Minato is the opposite of Itachi

Jiraya knowing about Itachi does not automatically mean that he knows about every jutsu of Itachi,Jiraya is aware of Itachi's intelligence and potential,the dude is one of the most famous guys out there,hell even the people from other villages knows about him but Jiraya don't?
This makes no sense if u ask me.
Coz unlike sand village in Konoha one must be an adult as well as a strong enough to take the title of Hokage.

If Itachi is smart enough to make decisions on par with Hokage,y would it took him 1y to turn into a chunin from a Genin,he should be able to immediately become a Chunin if his reasoning is same as that of Kage,don't u think?

U didn't directly said that Itachi is better than Minato but ur clearly trying to make him look better by downgrading Minato,the fact that u have been using Tobirama's words to judge his intelligence proves that.

Yes.....I cannot lie I was trying to paint Minato in a bad light only in comparison to Itachi. Which wasn't very impartial of me....I apologize. Though....you blatantly said Itachi stands no chance against Obito. I believe only Kishi can make such a statement, correct?

Let me rephrase what I said.....The Pervy Sage worked closely with Minato. He didn't with Itachi, Itachi may have a reputation, but The Pervy Sage doesn't know what Itachi is truly capable of. In that he cannot compare Minato to Itachi. As he doesn't know Itachis entire arsenal.

I'm sure he's not aware of Itachis potential and intellect, but hey....that's me! Also...just because one village knows something doesn't mean another, or all know just saying. The second Mizukage can attest to that....besides the Uchiha clan was very secretive.

I'm not going to reply to the Genin part as I feel it'd be no point. Anywho....you may see what Tobirama said about Minato as a joke, but I feel as though the words were spoken. Tobiramas character doesn't seem the type to joke around. Although as I said that's just me.

1. Obito ran away from Itachi in RTN the movie written by kishi, and well the movie isn't cannon, they are still Kishi's characters and his story
2. Itachi did slaughter the uchiha clan to prolong his life, but in the way you are saying it, it comes across as a selfish thing to do. Itachi did that to do. A. Save his brothers life. B. save millions of lives from dying in result of the uchiha vendetta. C. Allow the uchiha to die with a honorable name, not a backstabbing name. Yes itachi did prolong his life, but he also condemmed himself to death, so Sasuke can kill him.
3. Minato and Itachi are very similiar, both had hokage level powers/wisdom/skills/feats, loved the ones they cared for, and died for the ones they cared for. They are both true heroes pure and simple, and they had two very sad epic deaths

That is the silliest reasoning i have heard in my life. He escaped the dimension because of his seal mark or kunai that was not in the dimension. Even Tobirama the inventer of the jutsu could do that.
Itachis genjutsu solo's even the greatest of shinobi. Minato would probably escape in the end but by then hed be in black flames or sealed in totsuka land.

Itachi didnt do it to prolong his life. Konoha had nothng on the Uchiha clan reallistically nobody could beat the uchiha in battle.

There was nobody capable of protecting konoha and Sarutobi was past his prime im sure he did a great job for the village. With the masked man still out there and Orochimaru. If it wasnt for Itachi Obito wouldve annihlated the leaf Itachi preserved it by sacrificing his clan(which is bad). Dont compare Minato to a shinobi of Itachis calibre its an insult to Itachi. Minato is the knock of king and Itachi is the solo king if you want to compare the 2.
As for Obito he never said Minato couldve killed me but he did say that about the Solo king.
