minato is not stronger than hashirama. but he has all the arsenal and ability necessary to be able to defeat hashirama on a battle. You can compare hashirama abilities to minato's and hashirama would come on top in all of them. Hashirama might even have a lot more techniques than minato but this isn't an ability comparison competition. In a battlefield, if minato executes his abilities in combination, those abilities become extremely powerful and powerful enough to defeat hashirama. Hashirama has strong abilities but lacks the intelligence that minato has. Minato can turn a meaningless technique into a powerful technique.
