Minato did not cause this, he's as much to blame as Tenten is, that's why i'm annoyed that Kishi is trying to shoehorn Kakashi and Minato as part of Obito's story at the end of it all. He should've killed Kakashi back during the Kamui dimension fight, been defeated by Naruto and murdered by Sasuke.

This chapter was an awkward and unnecessary addition to the Obito story that just repeated (and lessened the impact?) the words of other chapters. Kakashi's speech about Naruto actually felt pretty lacklustre and like he still has a long way to go when every other chapter has been singing his praises. Naruto clearly isn't going to lose his way so why ever mention that Kishi? Naruto won't lose his path because Kakashi could help him up? Sasuke had people around him and he still turned into an S-Rank criminal, Kakashi couldn't help a part 1 Sasuke genin so whatevers making him think he can help a 2nd coming of messiah perfect jinchuuriki is nonsense.

Minato sucks a a character but isn't to blame for Obito. Nobody is? Idk get this surely its 100% Madara/the world they live in, there's no need to stick it to a character Kishi.

Indeed - it's Minato's fault. Kishi is trying to show the importance of having a mentor beside you by comparing and contrasting Minato and Kakashi as Minato has failed to be beside his students while, if you remember even from the first chapters Kakashi has always been overprotective of Team 7. As to why Kakashi wants to kill Obito, a few chapters back he made that resolution in his heart and decided to "endure". The one to blame for how Obito turned out is not himself, nor Madara, but Minato. If it wasn't for Minato's decisions the old team 7 would never have turned out like this. Heck, both Obito and Rin would've never died in the first place (in the case of Obito - assumed dead). But that might've been in a diffrent timeline.
I think Kishi is just trying to show the huge part the people beside us play as to forming our values and psyche and that they be wary to what path they lead their "king".

Did you forget he resolved to kill Obito before that. Just because a part of the old Obito still exists within the current one, doesn't mean Kakashi didn't think he needed to pay for what he did. He also felt responsible so he alone wanted to be the one to put an end to him.
