Pure speculation on your part. There's no way they went on a S Ranked mission with zero teamwork. Fact is Tobi trained him U_U

Also there's no need for Tobi to use Intangibility and show off while training with Itachi U_U Jiraya never even mentioned SM to Naruto and their relationship was the closest.

Itachi knew Tobi for years & was keeping a close eye on him ever since day one
but still even he didnt knew about Tobi's secrets & even after all the research all he came with was planting amaterasu in sasuke's eyes to kill tobi
but as we all know that plan was epic fail
Obito outsmarted itachi in a way

Now lets see minato just started to fight an unknown guy (obito)
Learns what type of jutsu he uses in 30 seconds
find weakness in his jutsu in like 1 min
beats him under 2 min without making eye contact with Obito

also other thing is Itachi admitted that he was wrong not trusting sasuke.
while on the other hand minato had faith in his new born child.

so brain & trust wise minato was better than itachi.

Minato didnt do much to beat Tobi...
they both only used essentially one jutsu...both of them....over and over...
When Itachi knew Obito he thought he was his elder Uchiha..
but Minato is capable of beating Itachi before Itachi could beat him..
but doesnt mean he is superior........
i dont think Kishi will make an episode saying through Itachi that Minato is better than himself

This is the perfect example if making something out of absolutely NOTHING.

You say that he planted an Amaterasu in sasuke to kill tobi and it was an epic fail. But he never thought tobi would go after Sasuke, as far as he was concerned he wasnt interested in him. He only planted Amaterasu in Sasuke as a contengency plan in case he did see Sasuke, also it is impossible to extinguish Amaterasu's flame, so how would Itachi have known that he would be able to do it. The only alternative would be for him to confront Tobi, reveal he is really a Konoha Spy which would have ruined his cover story and then attempt to kill Tobi... There was no reason for him to do this since 1) He didnt know Tobi would go after Sasuke and 2) He didnt know that Tobi knew his back story. I dont see how Obito outsmarted Itachi... all he did was survive. If you can call surviving outsmarting then Idk what to tell you.

Now based on 1 fight with Obito you judge that Minato is smarter than itachi? I dont even see how you logically made that jump. Itachi trusted the village to keep the secret of the Uchiha which they did so doesnt that make him even with Minato? You pick and chose 2 baised situations, one that makes Itachi look bad and the other that makes minato look good and based on that you say that minato is better than Itachi.....utter nonsense.
