He admitted sage mode didn't really fit his style cause of prep time, think about it, he can do ftg instantly and his rasengan needs no seals so it's as instant as the user can do it( although this is a bit contradictory as one would think he could use sage mode pre attack and use ftg in conjunction with sm to sense any harmful intent(like naruto) but this is just saying, as I think he should of never had sage mode to begin with
All those are some instances of his human side. Can't be compared to Itachi or Minato's compassion. Not even in the same league. Dude chapters before that he was prnentrating Sakura in genjustsu and some time before that he said Kakashi and Sakura were irrelevant. He wasn't "powerless" to stop it, he is easily the most powerful political figure in this massive military force in Konoha, even if he went easy on it. If he knew all Danzo did throughout his reign as Hokage, he wouldn't have stood for it

His Sage Mode wasn't perfect, he said so himself he couldn't use it in battle, he didn't even use it against Obito. What's worse is the toads never mentioned him when Naruto achieved a higher level of SM than Jiraiya which suggest it was also an asspull power up made by Kishi.
Finally, using Sage Mode is nowhere near the same as containing the most powerful bijuu, Kurama's chakra volume is thousands of times more than what Minato can produce with NE.
Furthermore, Kushina said the Jinchuuriki for the 9tails were chosen for their special chakra, as a non-Uzumaki Minato doesn't meet the requirements to be he 9 tails host.
He was physically overwhelmed from having a bijuu inside him, there's no way he would be able to use KCM with a living body.
Agreed, not only an ass pull power up, but literally nothing was done in kcm by him that couldn't probably be done in his base other than give naruto his half of kurama. Even when he tried to senjutsu up he didn't actually hit jj obito using it(iirc) his kcm was literally a plot device for naruto
True, Kishi made it look like Naruto's talent with biju chakra came from Minato when in reality it came from Kushina. It would've been more believable if she was able to use KCM instead of him.
I wanted him to use more original techs like FTG and sealing jutsu or some of Jiraiya's abilities, the DBZ style look didn't suit him at all.

OT: I used to think he was super OP after seeing him fight off obito and Kurama. I think once the power levels rose up as quick as they did, his feats/hype became moot. Then there's the whole JJ Madara solo sesh.
