Here's why Itachi > Minato

Itachi is one of the most well-rounded fighters in the series. He has high level ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, speed, reflexes, thrown weapon skills, and intellect. AND HE CAN DISPERSE INTO CROWS. He only lacks stamina.

From what we've seen, Minato only has speed, reflexes, space/time ninjutsu, rasengan, toad summoning, and some sealing techniques. All of his fights are slick applications of FTG and he, at most, plans only one step ahead.

The main consensus from Minato fanboys is "he's just too fast for Itachi." While there's no question that Minato is fast, Itachi's speed is no joke either.

Itachi was quick enough to react to lightning which can reach the ground in 1/1000 of a second and is several hundred times faster than the speed of sound. (ch. 396, p. 6)
Several means more than one, so lets say 200 times the speed of sound which is roughly 68058 meters per second. Itachi can easily react with suanoo in time if Minato tries to blitz.

But can Minato keep up with Itachi's sleight of hand? You may have some slick moves, but listen son...NOBODY IS SLICKER THAN ITACHI.

FTG? lol FTG only works on noobs like Raikage who rely on strength and speed. Obito got owned because he tried to win in a contest of speed. Throwing special kunais at Itachi doesn't work either, Itachi is the king of thrown weapons.
Minato can't do anything vs susanoo. All Itachi really has to do is look at Minato and it's GG.

The maximum number in a databook is 5. But that does not mean "that's as fast as anyone can be, therefore he's as fast as this guy". Itachi is far slower than Minato, especially with KCM on.

Sure, he can see them. Now how about reacting against the attacks. Now how about reacting well against the attacks? He loses. With someone with a Stamina databook stat of 2.5, he doesn't have a lot of energy to spare. He gets knocked more than once with powerful jutsu, he's out.



You need to research what moves Itachi has. Pronto. I'm a nice guy, but it's very hard to resist not quoting this in my sig.

Different times and Itachi had hokage level intellect at age 7. Minato hasn't really displayed anything approaching 'genius.' All of his fights came down to speed, not skill. It took him 3 years to copy bijuu dama and make rasengan. It took Naruto a week and Kakashi got it before he was 13. He didn't create FTG. With his 'great' knowledge of sealing techniques you would think he would have been able to break edo tensei summoning contract, but nope.

Kakashi would be dead from trying to do that even with the Kyuubi Cloak. The Juubi's TBB was 5x the size of itself.
Naruto KCM is equal to Minato base speed.
Minato > Itachi.

Since KCM enhances a users natural base speed to the point where they can dodge the Raikage at his fastest speed.

I'd say Minato now really is just a yellow blur that even the Sharingan can't keep up with.

Databook gives 5 out of 5 to so many ninjas. While fighting against Sasuke, Itachi got rigged by Sasuke's threaded kunais so this means Sasuke is 5 out of 5 in speed.
Itachi has pure speed but Minato has speed + reflexes + his s/t jutsu which makes him much faster than Itachi.
I agree Itachi may see Minato's attacks coming but the rate @ attacks are coming can not be avoided by Itachi because Minato's attacks are combination of speed + reflexes + his s/t jutsu. Itachi has good speed but reflexes are not matched with his own speed.
Itachi needs to perform hand seals for all his jutsus except Susanoo and Amaterasu BUT Minato mostly doesn't use hand seals in his attacks which saves time. Now amaterasu can be avoided by Minato as A can avoid it easily and Minato is equal or faster than A. A himself has admitted Minato is faster than Him.
Susanoo vs Minato is interesting to watch. No comments on it.
