Minato has some pretty powerful space time techs and is only inferior in space time prowess to tobi which is compensated for by is the way he uses the skills that he has.

Minato has enough chakra to teleport karuma, an entity with probably the largest amount of chakra in NU, following behind the SO6P and the Jubi.

Minato would lose man. It wouldn't take long at all for Madara to figure out how Minato's FTG works. Seeing as Madara can instantly heal his wounds, thanks to Hashirama's DNA and Preta path. Minato will get owned.

a lot of people point out that Madara has one-shot-kill jutsus, but that does not make for an automatic win. by that logic, Nagato would never lose to a single person cuz he has one-shotters including pulling out a persons soul. itachi would absolutely never lose cuz tsukiyomi could one-shot almost anyone and sasuke/itachi would never lose cuz amaterasu could one-shot 99% of people. well, Minato also has one-shotters counting his powerful sealing techs which is required for defeating Madara. one-shot jutsus just simply do not mean they will be used on the first move and will connect and also end the fight on the first move. madara and minato are both capable of ending a fight in a single move and in my opinion either one could win. madara may be stronger and he might even win more often, but still minato does have a fair chance, he really could win. to defeat an Edo you need sealing techs, Minato is the best sealer we have ever known about... so how could he not stand a chance? he's an Edo's natural enemy... i'm not saying minato is a gaurantee'd win, but he definitely stands a chance and he definitely could win

1. Minato teleported a bijuu bomb twice and teleported a beast with the third most chakra in NU, that was the size of atleast two mountains, he than had enough chakra to seal all of it, one in the belly of death the other in his son.

2. Madara can't spam izanagi, if the real on uses it twice his edo eyes are sealed, happened to itachi.

i know, if u read my posts closely i did concede that if Susanoo came out first, minato would lose. but without susanoo surrounding him minato could probably get physically close to him rather easily. also, i don't necessarily think minato would win, but i do think that he could win. madara's definitely stronger, but to defeat an Edo requires strong sealing techs and minato is the most powerful known sealer and his super speed would allow him to get close to anyone rather quickly so it is possible for him to win. but if susanoo comes out right away then speed wont make a difference without super strength beyond anything tsunade or ei could do and minato doesn't have that kind of strength. my main point--it is possible for minato to win.

My point was that he hasn't fought Madara, so you don't know how the battle would play out. And also, Minato can no longer fight anyone. But you only know that Minato could defeat Tobi because we've seen that battle. You can't honestly say that you know who would win in a Minato vs. Madara fight.

so then you aren't saying Madara would win right? as for me, im certainly not saying Minato would win. i'm only saying i think it's possible he could win. madara could definitely win, but i also think it's possible for minato to win
