Minato has devastating striking speed

Everyone knows Minato had incredible body flicker speed, but what most overlook is his striking speed. This results in a lot of people underestimating him in CQB. However, let me show you something.

Minato threw away the blanket with explosive tags on it before Naruto could get hurt. Now, here's the thing. The tags were practically on Naruto, and if you look closely, you'll see that By the time Minato's hands were reaching Naruto, the explosion already started. So Minato can move his hands faster than an explosion.

Now, how fast is an explosion? It can be 8000 meters per second. If we go by hour, then it's 28800 Kilometers per hour! The speed of sound is 1230 Km/h. So, in other words, Minato's can move his hands as fast, or faster than 23.4 times the speed of sound!


With punches of that speed, can you imagine how much of a monster he is at CQB, or how nearly impossible it is to not get tagged by him?

Pretty much. Imagine how unpleasant SM Minato would be in CQB. I don't even want to know how fast his punches would be them. It'd probably be hypersonic.

It's safe to assume the speed of explosions are relatively consistent, unless you have evidence explosions in Naruto occur slower.

I looked up the speed of an explosion. Do a search for it. You'll see it.

So the explosion of a grenade and a landmine is the same? That would explain it then. I never understood why calculations are used in fiction, Ive never seen it done for other series, but oh well. Good job on your analysis.

sorry, but the paper bombs weren't even starting to explode when he started swiping the blanket.. also on top of that he simply grabs Naruto and shunshins on out.. He doesn't even bother to remove the blanket..like that.

Wrong. It wasn't exploding before he began to reach for it, but when he grabbed Naruto, it was. Also, there's nothing indicating that he didn't throw the blanket away before teleporting. Look at the panel. Minato was specifically scooping Naruto out of it during the explosion. On top of that, the anime shows him throwing away the blanket, so my point stands.

When he grabbed naruto there was no sign of exploding. And the explosion actually took some time.. Its visible in the anime also.

And yea i just rewatched it my bad. But the manga is showing him put both of his hand under Naruto, not grabbing the blanket. I'm simply going by the source you gave me. =p.

When he started to scoop there was no explosion, if he was still scooping when there was explosion.. then that ain't fast buddy.
