Minato Genius? Itachi?

I found a scan of Jiriaya Saying that Minato is a Genuis you find once in a decade, and there hasn't been a genius ever since?

If i remember Correctly, Itachi Came after Minato's Generation? So that Mean's There hasn't been a Genius like Minato ever since?

What do you guys think of this?

I just don't think Jiraiya considered Itachi because Itachi was considered a criminal by virtually the whole ninja world. And maybe Minato was considered more of a "genius" because he did not come from a prestigious clan, where excellence was expected.

He would still Hype up Itachi if he saw Itachi as a "genuis", But he didn't? Hyping someone If they are a genius isn't agreeing with thier plans/ideals thus proving the fact that Jiriaya didn't see itachi as a genuis?

I like this. It's one thing to be a genius in a clan of genius'. It's another to be from ordinary beginnings and reach the same level.

But he didn't praise Naruto because Naruto at that time, Didn't Know Sage Mode, KM or Bm Meaning that he wasn't considered a Powerful shinobi.Who said it took away Itachi's Hype?
