Minato didn't commit suicide. He sacrificed his life to save his son along with Kushina. He died saving the village before sealing Kurama inside Naruto. It was a hero's death.

No bro there was no need for Naruto to be there. Minato brought him there then preceded to commit suicide when Kishina already offered to take the 9 tails with her. Like a weakling he chose to die then live and protect the village.

Weakling? What the fu*k?! He sacrificed his life and SAVED the village. Kushina was still weak from giving birth to Naruto. He probably didn't know if her body could take the seal because of that.

So instead he sealed it inside his own son. Kurama couldn't handle that. Kushina was too weak at the moment and so Minato did what any loving father would do for their child. He died for him.
