The shading on his face seems unnecessary, in fact alot of the shading is over done, try and do it a little lighter with easier strokes.

Now on to compliments, you did a good job on the actual form of his face just work on your shading and it will be much much better.

Erase the shading on the face, take a pencil and darken the out lines then use q-tips and rub the q-tips against the out lines and spread the shading out to create a better effect.

listen to yard that's the easiest way to spread the shading evenly(though i use soft cloth)+ eye needs little work..the pupil should be draker than the iris.

nice picture overall alittle sketchy on the out lines and too much shade try using a brown paper towel if you shading the whole thing or a dry q tip for a better effect
