ok this is not a minato bashing thread i promise. After ch. 618, we learned that the RDS was not created by minato but was an uzamaki technique. Right here kishi kind of downplayed minato's accomplishment a little since the RDS was created by uzamakis. Now it is quite possible that FTG is also a uzamaki technique of some sort or maybe FTG is an modified uzamaki seal. My question is do you believe kishi kind of downplayed minato's accomplishment just a little and as a added question is FTG a technique minato created or a uzamaki seal that minato used.

Well kushina did say she taugt minato a bunch of her own clan seals uzumaki seals and FTG also uses seals so its a possibltity kushina showed him this.

I was also thinking about it this way kind of. Its a possibility that using the mask differs from actually using handsels. Maybe using the mask doesn't take your soul. If the mask doesn't take your soul then it explains why only 5 things came out of the reapers stomach or maybe kishi didn't feel like drawing tons of souls being released.

I was thinking now that it is a possibility that minato's only original jutsu is rasengan. Hopefully this is not the case.

but even if he copied uzumaki techniques, he made them unique and epic, i think minato is still pretty cool

i never thought minato had created rds tbh. he still created rasengan and ftg, and became a fuinjutsu expert by his early 20s. there aren't many shinobi who've created any techniques, let alone ones so good. i'd say only tobirama and orochimaru

I don't believe he was downgraded, he performed Reaper Death Seal without a mask, that's an accomplishment itself.
