I mean you can see Naruto was unable to do many jutsu when he was kid because kyubi was sucking his chakra that made naruto unable to control his chakra but it could have been easy for Naruto if 3rd had helped him a little. Yeah i know he was hokage & all but he was too careful about village, he didnt had any faith in Naruto that Naruto will manage to Control the kyubi one day. And that Shows Why Minato gave the Key Of Seal to Jiraiya rather than 3rd. Minato trusted jiraiya more, he knew Jiraiya will have faith in his decision but he also knew 3rd will not do the same due to safty of village.
Also there is a reason why Jiraiya left the village with naruto. Jiraiya used the key to let naruto control fox but he failed. And he did it outside the village so there will be no harm to Villagers.

Look, Naruto had poor chakra control because his chakra was used in attempt to suppress Kurama's own overwhelming chakra. Kurama didn't suck any of Naruto's chakra.

i agree to some extent, I think the third could have done more for Naruto considering Minato's sacrifice. I still don't get why he didn't tell Naruto/or the villagers that Naruto is Minato's son. That would have eased up his childhood sufferings a lot.

Jiraiya was Naruto's godfather, its more his responsibility than anyones, Hiruzen was responsible for his upkeep, Minato realised that he has a wider responsibility to the village, something that would have been even more important after the kyuubi attack. Hiruzen is one of the few that did have faith in Naruto, but he can't exactly take time out to train him, him didn't even do that for his own grandson.

PS. even with a lot of training, your chakra control will not improve even with a lot of training if Kurama chakra cannot be completely held in his body, as was the case.

Remember that the key was written on a toad by Minato before his death. I think it's more logical to entrust the key to Jiraiya than the third because Jiraiya had already signed the contract with the toads.
