Minato didn't believe in his son strength

To be honest, Minato and Kushina could have killed the Nine-Tails if they wanted to. Kushina could have resealed it inside her then take it away with her death making both of them die. They didn't need Naruto to take down the Nine Tails. The only reason they kept the Nine Tails alive was because Minato believed Naruto would need that power in order defeat the masked man who tried to destroy the village

But seriously, I don't think Minato and Kushina thought of their own son as weak. They believed in him and loved him, that's why they knew he'd be able to become friends with Kurama and fight alongside him. Minato and Kushina never thought of their son as weak and in need of power and strength, imo.

Yeah, even if Kushina had the strength to reabsorb Kurama in her condition, Kurama would resurrect when she died. On top of that, Minato & Kushina must have had tremendous faith in their newborn son to assume he could handle the 9 tails and grow up with it. The reason because he didnt sealed it in Kushina was because Kushina was dying and when she dies the nine tails would have revived over the years. Also you dont need DNA to revive the nine tails since it is not Edo Tensei.

Minato believed his son could handle the 9 tails, that's also why he didn't full lock the seal he left a small gap so the 9 tail's chakra could pour into his own and give him strength and one day befriend Kurama, Also if he would have sealed in into his dying wife Kurama would have just regenerated and attack again the only way to save the village was to seal inside his son, and believing in his son to do the correct thing and becoming strong was also part of the reason to seal the 9 tails in Naruto.

The real question I think about is Minato split the 9 tails chakra up taking Kurama's Yin Chakra and giving Yang chakra Naruto, yet there is another person with a little bit of Kurama's Chakra in him, so who is Kurama's chakra split apart 3 ways.

what? first of all, the kyuubi would have reformed eventually with kushina dying, and screw up the balance of power between villages. and secondly, minato believed in naruto enough to know that he would defeat tobi PLUS become a perfect jinchuuriki, which none of his predeccessors had managed.

Kushina was on the verge of death - it's already a wonder she stayed alive for that long. Even if she had been strong enough to have Kyuubi sealed back inside of her, she would have died and then after a certain amount of time Kyuubi would have been brought back in the world, but he would be roaming around free. Which would be disastrous for the world.
Also the Bijuus don't have any dna, because they exist entirely out of chakra.
I thought these facts were well known?

Look Minato was left with 2 options :
- Kushina offered to seal the 9 tails back in her so she & the 9 tails could die, leaving Naruto & Minato + the village safe & alive. He loved her, obviously, if you had a choice you wouldn't let your wife die either.
-Seal it with the death reaper-technique(which would seal half, not everything), where would the other half go? If it was sealed in Kushina the same would happen as my previous statement, only both Minato and Kushina would die. After that being said Minato decided to seal half and Kushina would be able to seal the other half in Naruto(only option at that time). Kushina dieing wasn't part of Minato's plan at first though.

When a tailed beast dies, he comes back to life somewhere else. Nobody revives them. They revive themselves because they are living masses of chakra.

Kyuubi would have died together with Kushina yes, but because he is a Bijuu, he would have been able to revive himself after an amount of time and then hell would break loose again because he would be roaming around free. That's why villages keep resealing the Bijuus in other Jinchuurikis to make sure no Bijuu escapes and attacks the villages again

1. Kushina should have died. She had the 9tails extracted from her. Every other Jink died from that process. (see Gaara)
2. if the person the beast is inside of dies, the beast also temporarily "dies" but revives shortly after. (never specifies any specifics of time, also ill look for link for this)
3. sealing inside a new living host would keep the balance of power with the villages and give his son a boost for later
