People always say that Minato could never save anyone, but it was really never his fault and at many times it was not his responsibility either.

Obito's supposed death: Minato was out fighting on the front lines at this time. What was he supposed to do? Was he supposed to just leave the front lines and let all of those other ninjas die so that he could save Obito? Also, Kakashi was a jounin. Don't give me that "he was inexperienced" crap. You earn the rank of jounin when the higherups deem you to be experienced and capable enough. Therefore there are no excuses for Kakashi. Rin and Obito were also chuunin. They should have been able to hold their own. This is in no way Minato's fault or responsibility.

Rin: Nobody even knew that Madara put a puppet master seal in Rin, and Minato did not make Rin kill herself. Furthermore, he was on another mission. He could not do anything about this. Kakashi was a jounin and Rin was a chuunin (and the jinchuuriki of Isobu). They should have been able to handle themselves (or at least survive until Obito arrived). This is not Minato's fault or responsibility.

Kushina: Minato couldn't help the fact that he got separated from Kushina. Was he just supposed to let Obito kill baby Naruto? He had no choice, but to take Naruto to a safe place. This is what caused the separation and gave Obito the chance to extract Kurama. This wasn't Minato's fault.

Naruto: There was no way that Minato could have predicted that Black Zetsu was going to just pop up from under ground and intercept Kurama. This was not Minato's fault.

None of this was Minato's fault.

Minato could have ended the series if he hadn't killed himself to give Naruto the kyuubi, and just teleported to Obito and cut off his head while he was sleeping instead.

Problem solved.

That would've been boring though since it's too logical.Stories don't like that sort of thing so Minato had to be capped.

True, but we don't know that Minato knew of any other way to properly stop Kurama at the time. Kurama took priority at that moment over Obito.

Minato had a myriad of options. When questioned why he didn't choose any of them, he stated his reasons.

He had plenty of options.

I have to disagree on a single point with Kushina. The way I see it a husband must protect his family at all all costs, so it isn't necessarily that it's his fault that he let her protect Naruto too. Which is actually a right thing to do since without Kushina no doubt Naruto would be stabbed by the nail.

It isn't his fault Kushina died, but he certainly didn't save her.

But overall, yes you're right. Even about Kushina.

While you do have a point, this thread is not about the intelligence or lack thereof that he showed when facing Kurama. It is about the fact that people blame him for not saving people when it was not his fault.

In the cases of Obito/ Rin, he was off fighting and on missions. He needed his chakara. Did Kakashi always send a clone with his students? No!

The first line of this thread killed me. "It's not his fault or responsibility" as if that's a valid reason to excuse him. He still failed doesn't matter.

I completely disagree on the black zetsu one. That was just plain stupid tryna do that infront of the enemy. Minato has tags like all around the world, he could have transported himself and Naruto to any other place out there and completed the ritual there, then comeback when Naruto wakes up together. Why the hell he does that on the battlefield is beyond me. Check Obito for instance, he transported Naruto to kamui land and then followed him there to complete the ritual, but no Minato ****ing has to stop thinking and do it right there infront of the enemy. Bare in mind I aint bashing on Minato, I'm actually one of the biggest Minato fanboys on this site, but come on bro, that was a blonde moment from Minato.

I agree, it doesn't matter whose fault it is or if it's not your responsibility, a fail is a fail.
