All that scan suggests is that Minato has Just enough reflexes to doge V2....as i said A cannot outrun amaterasu.. that's madness..

Doding a car, even if it's close is a matter of reflexes and speed... Dodging a car going 140 mph does not mean you can move at 150 mph.. that's a ludicrous statement...

Dodging has to do with reflexes... Minato can indeed dodge V2, but things faster than v2 , (amaterasu) is where he runs into problems..

Even with v2 , minato comes ridiculously close to getting hit...

Ok I think you failed to get the gist of my argument. True no one can move at 150 mph, that also means no one can dodge a car moving at 150 mph provided the distance he needs to move to get to safety is less than the distance between him and the car.
It's similar thing with Raikage,he cant outrun amaterasu, mainly because as far as I know shunshin only works in short distances. Meaning he cant outrun amaterasu over a long distance but he can definitely outrun it in the short distance that his shunshin is active.
Now what you failed to see from the scan I provided is that that moment was actually the first time Minato was made aware of A's attack. If you look at the scans before that you'll know Minato didnt see A's attack until that final moment and yet he was able to activate FTG in time. So in short, I believe his reaction time is enough to evade amaterasu.

No someone can dodge a car moving at 150 mph... The closer the car the more reflexes the said person needs to escape it.. but it's barely about speed....It's about how fast someones reflexes is.

Let's use the examle of bullets, which humans can't dodge because the speed the brain sends signals is slower than the speed of the bullets... But let's use a scenario with Jedi's from star wars.. who move at average speeds, but have HEIGHTENED reflexes , so they can easily defend against lasers OR Bullets...

It's not about speed..... Bullets travel at 730 or so MPH and the human brain can send signals at 510mph...

A human can very well dodge a speeding car.. it's happened MANY times....Dodging a car doesn't mean you are faster than the car.. It means your body can react in time to dodge it...

The close the car is the less time you have to react, so if the car was one inch away from you, And moving at the same speed..

Unless you had jedi or matrix reflexes to slow down time, you cna't dodge it.. not even if you are the fastest man in the world..

Speed has little to do with it at that point...

Minato dodged raikage and displayed that he has Just enough reflexes to dodge A's v2 attack... He dodged it twice and in both cases he could only do it when A was a few inches away from him..

Now picture Raikage fighting himself.. Both raikages have the same speed...
A v2 attack to raikage would be like a normal shinobi attack... To both raikages it's like they were fighting without armour on... since they both have the same reflexes and speed...

Raikage was not faster than amaterasu, but he could very well get out of the way Due to the fact that his reflexes are heightened.....

C however has stated that Minato's reflexes are only comparable to that of Base Raikage..... He cant dodge things faster than v2, since his reflexes are lacking ...

Actually dodging is about speed as much as it is about reflex. No matter how good your reflexes are., you wont be able to dodge a speeding car, if the distance in which you have to move to avoid it, is less than the distance between you and the car if you cant move faster than the car.Thats a fact.
Now when Raikage dodged amaterasu, his movement started when amaterasu was literally less than a centimetre away. Meaning in that short distance, he travelled faster than amaterasu. Shunshin is just high speed movement afterall.
In short, to dodge an attack, you need these 2 things
1. Reaction time or reflex
2. Moving speed
Minato doesnt need moving speed since ftg is instantaneous and only requires him to think.
Now from these scans below its obvious there's some time between amaterasu forming and it actually touching the target.

Both Danzu and Nagato were able to notice the flames just milliseconds before it hit them. As proved by Minato dodging A's full speed at the very last second, its enough time for him to activate ftg.
BTW I just love how u assume minato can barely escape A speed & A can just about escape amaterasu. That explains why minato turns his back to A, and A was overly and arrogantly confident when fighting sasuke, cuz he can just about escape amaterasu. I am not even going to get into that, we are all allowed our interpretation of situation

Danzo noticed the blood dripping etc.. then flames hit him.. People who know of amaterasu can see the blood and act accordingly

Once again, this all boils down to your reflexes.. If the car is a few inches away from you, and is driving at the same speeding speed... Then it still depends on the persons reflexes..

Can their brain send signals faster than that car? can they move fast enough to escape the path of the car?
It's not about being faster than the car.. If we use the bullet again... if a human's brain operated faster than the bullet, then they could move their head to dodge the bullet.. But they are not faster than the bullet... you are simply escaping the path of the bullet.. just like Raikage escaped amaterasu.. He is not faster than amaterasu....

Ok Owarij lets take it back to the basics.
Lets you're at point A. The car is at point B. And the point you have to get to escape the car is point C. Now if the distance between A and B is smaller or equal to the distance between A and C, then you have to move faster than the car. To put in a better perspective lets say the car is 20cm away from you. And you have to move 20 cm to avoid the car. In this instance you'll have to move faster than the car. It matters not how fast your brain functions, it could be faster than superman's brain, it wouldnt matter if you cant move your body out of the way quick enough. So in short both speed and reaction are needed. Its the reason why Sasuke got beaten by Lee in their first fight. He had the sharingan to predict his movement but his body couldnt keep up.
So again Raikage did move faster than amaterasu in the short distance as amaterasu was less than a centimetre to his skin and he moved way more than a centimeter to avoid. Its simple science, you cant argue this

Everything you said was right up until you said that Amaterasu was a centimeter from his skin.

Looking from this scan, we cant possibly tell how close it was to the Raikage's skin from the angle we are looking at it.
However, the next panel does give us a clearer view of this.
The Raikage started his dodging motion in the bottom right panel. Note the distance between Raikage and the flames in the bottom left panel.

Now notice how far Amaterasu has traveled from the last page, and how far Raikage has traveled from the last page.
You must be registered for see images
As you can see, the distance which Amaterasu covered is greater than the distance which the Raikage covered in that same amount of time, with the Amaterasu being able to reach from infront of the Raikage all the way back to the guy at the back whereas the Raikage had hardly moved that much of a distance from the last page. Also, it is evident that he never stopped after dodging the flames since he carried on going and appeared behind Sasuke before he could realise.
Therefore: Because Amaterasu covered a greater distance than the Raikage in the same amount of time, and we know that speed = distance/time, Amaterasu is faster than V2 Raikage in speed. So simply put, since Minato was barely able to dodge Raikage's V2... he wouldn't be able to dodge an even faster attack.

And you made a mistake assuming A dodged the attack and kept on moving. He's not an idiot. He only moved far enough to dodge the amaterasu. In all Naruto fights I've seen, the ninjas move just enough to dodge an attack. I havent seen a single person dodge an attack and then keep on moving.

Look at the first pic. Raikage had dodged amaterasu by moving sideways. At that point amaterasu hadnt moved any further. Now at that point, The Raikge stopped moving. The flames however kept on and attacked that Samurai

Sasuke dodging 3 amatarasu then his wing(which is behind him) getting hit by the fourth

He did this while carrying a wing, not being able to fly, and he still managed to escape.

you can argue that Itachi was not trying to hit him but he was trying to drain sasuke's chakra which he could have done with just one but he missed.

itachi fans are ignorants

this jutsu is super overrated

it can be countered with many many ways

kuarami replacement tech , clones , body shedding ( Orochimaru ) ,
sheilds ( jiraiya and Oro ) , summons , creating woods ( Yamato ) ,
wind breakthrough ( many characters ) , and many more jutsus

speed is not the only option here

Im actually suprised you understood what I said... it seemed like 97% of the base couldn't.
Anyway, why would the Raikage stop moving? He never... he kept moving until he was out of Sasuke's eye sight and managed to get behind him whilst Sasuke was still facing forwards as shown in the Manga afterwards.

He never had the intention of just dodging Amaterasu, he wanted to blitz Sasuke with his V2 armor (which is why C referenced his armor being to fast for the Sharingan before).

Nobody is saying Minato can't counter it... didn't you read the thread? It says that Minato can't dodge it. Nothing more.

I can't belive this is still going on. Speed and reflex are two different things. If your dodgeing a car, does not mean that you are faster then the car. Only that you have great reflexes and the right amount of speed to work with your reflexes to dodge the car in the first place. You see people dodgeing cars all the time, that don't mean there faster then the car. Like it has been said speed and reflex have to work together. A saw ama coming at him, that means his reflexes with speed working together was able to just in time move out the way of it just as if it was a car coming at him. Say Sasuke was standing a foot closer then he was when he shot it the first time would A have dodged it then? Highly doubtful considering that he just barely got away from the first one. Now back to the question at hand, can Minato successfully dodge amaterasu? I think he can.The man is a genius, why wouldn't he be able to? Is he faster then amaterasu? Don't know because that was not the point of this thread. The thread states "can he dodge it".

he can dodge amaterausu
but not those arrows sasuke shoots
And from what your saying if he has to focus on the opponent first how will he hit minato if he just teleports and amaterausu does not spawn on the opponent

thats what im saying to him. raikage only needs to sidestep faster than amaterasu but he insist that amaterasu was faster since it cover more distance than raikage after that sidestep.. and sidestep are slower than running forward

A's fastest attack is faster than amaterasu

bee: he dodge it? ******* bastard....

he cant believe that A"s fastest attack was dodge why would bee sooooo surprised that it was dodge when there are other techniques that is faster than that

They are delusional. You need speed and reflex. Distance and the speed of the object are also major factors to be considered when dodging.

Exp: Something that's one inch away from you and is moving at 100 feet per second... you need very good reflexes to be able to see it and the ability to move equal to 100 feet per second or more.

It's not just about reflex. Remember that distance, reflex, speed, and the speed of the object have to be taken into consideration.

Let's see someone get away from a bullet that was fired 2 feet away from you with just reflex. They fail... and they fail hard to understand.

The closer something is to you the more reflexes you need dimwit, not more speed...

You can be the fastest man in the world, and if a bullet is fired two feet away from you, you're dead...

If you have heightened reflexes of that of a jedi or the people in matrix, The bullets will practically be moving slower for you or in better words you have more time to react and you can dodge them with normal speed
