Minato Base Speed

I hate how people say Minato was called Yellow Flash because he used FTG. His base speed was fast to. Remember in Kakashi Gaiden when that ninja was spying on them and Minato dropped his backpack and instantly appeared behind him. Im sure he didn't just put the FTG on him before because he was surprised to and then dropped his backpack. Im just saying Minato is fast I know he's no where close when he goes FTG but his base speed is fast also.

He did mark him, so yes he used FTG, but his base speed is fast which is shown when he saves infant Naruto

Bro he marked the ninja when he was about to counter kakashi chidori.... then he teleported behing him using (FTG). Still his base speed second to none.

Minato is fast in his Base Speed, however, his fame of speed was do to FTG. Shisui is faster than Minato, without FTG, and/or any other character with Ninjutsu Enhancements such as Raiton Armor, Eight Gates, etc. Shisui was feared as "Shisui of The Body Flicker." [1] The Body Flicker Technique [2]

When people say Minato's speed, it is really ambiguous. It could mean his base speed or FTG, obviously FTG is unmatched. His base speed is pretty fast, but to me it doesn't seem up to A's speed, so when A is talking about his speed I'm sure he is talking about FTG.

That wasn't his base speed. Rin said it was his teleportation technique. Minato base speed was most impressive when he snatched baby Naruto, and when he appeared on a tree several meters away from Kurama after saving Kushina from getting squashed. Also, people like Tobi, Yamato, Killer Bee, and kakashi have all either commented on his speed or compared it to Naruto's. You can't see a yellow flash if it's instant, after all...

This is Minato in base speed. Look carefully where Minato was when Kyubi was about to launch his TBB(on a rock far from Kyubi), and as you know launching TBB is fast. He was far from the Kyubi, but he didn't only manage to reach him with base speed, but he summoned Gamabunta on him(sandaime and others were even surprised to see him appearing like that, that shows his speed), and had time to cumulate chakra and send him somewhere else

If you remember he did the same thing Naruto did when he was about to save Kakashi and Gai against TBB. That's even why Kakashi thought Naruto was Minato, cuz he saw Minato in Naruto. Only Minato could have interven that fast from his point of view
