No. Dead Demon Seal is Minato's jutsu. Hiruzen is way older than Minato but he is unaware of that jutsu. If it was passed down from the Uzumaki clan then Hiruzen might have heard that or even Orochimaru. Also, hashirama would have known that jutsu since his wife is an Uzumaki.
Im not denying that its minato's jutsu. Im say he did not create it. Think logically for a moment. Minato knew the side effects of the justu which is death because that jutsu already existed and with that had background info. How would he know that the reaper technique causes death?, because it already existed. If he has used it before and knew that it causes death, he wouldnt be alive.
Kushina was said to have thought minato uzukmai technique's and look at her reaction when minato told her that he was about to use the reaper technique;

I'm gonna chalk this one up to the Death God making the choice of when to take the soul. Sarutobi may have just been exhausted and the clones popped out. The shizune soul grab was a completely different technique. That was a forceful yank, giving up your soul is surely different. The death god has your soul, look how he always enjoys the 'flavor' before he takes you. Why would he rush it? Also, Sarutobi's strength vs Yondaime is like Chuunin to Jounin.

He is without any doubt dead, but I wondered about this, too.
There are some reasons that might explain why he prevailed: 1. As the creator of the technique he mastered it better than Hiruzen, thus he didn't die right away
2. His condition was by far not as bad as Hiruzen's was when he used the technique
3. Because he didn't seal Kyuubi's entire Chakra, he wasn't sealed/consumed entirely either

They disperses after sealing the Senju bro's. In Minato's case, the seal was done early and there's no need there for the death god to stay long. Minato was able to use the eight trigrams seal after doing DDS. If you compare the length of time, you will notice that it took to long before they vanish. It's like the death god is waiting for Minato to complete the eight trigrams before he consumes his soul.

That's really a big question. We saw the soul being consumed but still Minato was able to move and used the eight trigrams seal.
You'll notice here that the soul and Kurama's chakra were consumed and the death god was licking the knife yet Minato was able to perform the eight trigrams. There's no need for the death god to be there long enough because DDS was already completed.
Just stating possibilities and raising legit questions. If you're not open to any possibilities then you're definitely a close minded person. This is a manga so anything is possible.
damn meng respect for a well researched and deductive theory, but he is dead and is sealed in the death god only a portion of his soul was sealed in naruto and thats gone now. Still i like it though that seal is mysterious and the fact that junchuriki can'tuse it makes it even more mysterious.

ok look how old was she when she's in konoha? how did kushina learned that DDS when she looks stupid to me. that high ranked and advanced tech coming from kushina? i dont know. and i dont know when was the destruction of the whirlpool village is it before or after kushina migrated to konoha?:shrug:
